About the Role

As Enterprise Architect – Strategic Alliances (APJ), you will play a pivotal role in embedding Veeam technology into the service portfolios, technology stacks, and Centers of Excellence of leading Global System Integrators (GSIs) and strategic partners across Asia Pacific & Japan.

This position goes beyond direct solution delivery—it focuses on enabling our GSI partners to sell, design, implement, and support Veeam solutions at scale for mid-market and large enterprise customers. By aligning with GSI partner account teams, you will ensure Veeam becomes a core component of partner service offerings, building long-term joint success.

What You’ll Do

Partner & Solution Enablement

  • Support GSI Partner Account Managers in Sell In, Sell With and Sell Through motions, demonstrating how Veeam complements and extends GSI technology stacks.
  • Embed Veeam capabilities into GSI service catalogs, reference architectures, and solution blueprints.
  • Drive the development of Centers of Excellence / Competency Centers within GSIs to ensure consistent, repeatable delivery models.
  • Ensure GSI readiness to deliver, expand, and support Veeam-powered services across enterprise accounts.

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Conduct joint technical discovery with GSIs to align Veeam with their platforms, IP, and delivery frameworks.
  • Co-design joint solution architectures that combine Veeam with partner cloud, security, and application services.
  • Create reusable reference architectures, design patterns, and service frameworks to accelerate adoption across the GSI ecosystem.
  • Provide technical oversight and best-practice guidance for proof-of-concepts (PoCs), workshops, and early deployments.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the trusted technical advisor to both GSIs and internal Veeam stakeholders, bridging business strategy with technical execution.
  • Work closely with Pre-Sales, Professional Services, and Product teams to ensure seamless alignment from solution design to partner delivery.
  • Support joint go-to-market activities with GSIs by contributing technical content, workshops, and enablement sessions.

Continuous Innovation

  • Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., containers, cyber-resilience frameworks, hybrid cloud) for integration into GSI offerings.
  • Contribute to Veeam’s best practices, standards, and partner enablement assets to ensure scalability and consistency across APJ.
  • Champion automation, repeatable frameworks, and delivery accelerators to enhance partner efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive IT architecture and proven solution delivery experience, ideally in partner- or GSI-led environments.
  • Deep expertise in data protection, backup & recovery, disaster recovery (DR), cyber resilience and cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proven record of enabling or delivering large-scale enterprise transformation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.), and IT governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills—able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Background in professional services, consulting, or enterprise architecture roles with direct partner/customer engagement.

Preferred Certifications

  • ToGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification. NIST, ISO 27001 and SABSA a plus.
  • Veeam VMCE certification.
  • Cloud & virtualization certifications (AWS/Azure Architect, VMware VCP).
  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP).
  • Automation/scripting experience (PowerShell, Python) a plus.

What You’ll Get

  • 15 to 21 annual vacation days (based on role level), plus 4 extra global VeeaMe Days for self-care and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares
  • Private medical plan for employees and eligible dependents, including major medical, hospital, surgical, and outpatient coverage
  • Dental insurance with comprehensive coverage for employees and dependents
  • Annual wellbeing allowance for health and wellness support
  • Life and accident insurance for added financial protection
  • Opportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops, and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning
