Description

We are looking for an Enterprise Account Executive based in New Zealand, Australia or Singapore! You know how to sell to enterprise customers, you are a team player, not afraid to wear many hats, and are happy to roll up your sleeves. You value setting and achieving ambitious goals and ownership of what needs to get done.

About Thematic

We analyze customer feedback to help companies build and deliver better products and services. It's a best-in-class SaaS platform, powered by world-class AI that excels in the market. By prioritizing what customers want, companies improve their customer metrics, and grow faster. Our customers are Heads of Market Research, Customer Insights, Voice of the Customer, and Customer Experience.

We are a US corporation that has been around since 2015 with a fully-remote team. Our R&D happens in New Zealand, and our Sales are global. Some of the best brands in the world love Thematic, including LinkedIn and DoorDash. We have established a strong ANZ footprint over the past several years with brands such as Woolworths, Jetstar, NBN, Sky TV and Watercare. We need your skills to grow these relationships and expand business to other companies.

The Role

Here's how we envisage your role... although it's just a start. Depending on your success, your role can evolve quickly!

  • Territory will span the entire APAC region
  • Own a revenue number and you'll work on building your pipeline to hit that number
  • Own the full sales cycle, at least initially: Prospecting, qualifying and closing outbound deals for Thematic
  • Create proposals and negotiate pricing
  • Receive inbound leads from Marketing and an SDR, but expect to generate half of your own pipeline
  • Run local personalized outbound campaigns
  • Attend events and get warm intros to the right people - qualifying prospects using a consultative approach and will help build the business case
  • Build relationship with our existing customers and help renew and expand usage
  • Learn the differentiators and benefits of our product bringing in product specialists and data scientists as needed
  • Customers will be supported by our excellent customer success team
Requirements
  • First things first, you have to be based in this region! This is where the bulk of our potential clients are and it will help you succeed
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of closing full-cycle deals
  • Excellent communicator and know how to build rapport with people
  • Several years of B2B SaaS sales experience as an account executive. You have either been a business development manager or managed one in the past
  • Have sold to buyers in Customer Experience, Insights, or Market Research. You can speak our buyer's data and insights language
  • Growth mindset. You know how to experiment and recognize where you are getting traction. You then double-down and execute the most successful strategy
  • Hunter's mentality when it comes to sales, and want to add value for your customers in a genuine way
  • Solid attention to detail and practice good CRM hygiene
  • Like being accountable for your own success, and being "your own CEO"
  • OK to travel up to 25% within the region
  • Bonus points if you have a passion about AI with understanding both the opportunities and limitations

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Provide strong and visible leadership through a period of rapid growth and change
  • Deliver ambitious growth targets from new and existing partners and revenue growth through long-term partner success
  • Champion new business and marketing opportunities within Thematic
  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with customers and partners
  • Work collaboratively to enable success for Thematic, its customers, and partners
  • Work with other functional areas to highlight issues, develop options for resolution and implement solutions
  • Grow revenue through flawless execution and a deep focus on exceeding customer expectations
Benefits
  • Uncapped performance-based commissions of 10% for inbound opportunities, and 15% for new logos
  • Generous Stock Options (company equity)
  • Paid time off of 20 days/year
  • Work-from-home allowance of $250/month
  • Employee development programs
  • Enjoy remote work with flexible working hours. Work late, work early, it's up to you how to plan your week
  • Bond with the team at our annual team retreat. Typical locations include resorts in Hawaii and New Zealand

Depending on your exact location, skills level and expertise, our expected base salary range for this role is the following:

  • AUD $130-150K
  • NZD $120-140K
  • Singapore $115-130K

Applicants for this position should have valid work authorization either in Singapore, New Zealand, or Australia.
