Job Description
As an Engineering Manager, you will provide technical leadership to a team supporting the product development.
You will foster collaboration across Engineering, Product Management, Business, Project Management, and Quality, motivating and mentoring the team to maintain performance. You will be reporting to a Senior Engineering manager based in Singapore.
Your Responsibilities:- Lead a team of 10 - 15 engineers (embedded software/firmware, test engineers)· Manage, coach, and hold the team accountable for achieving goals.
- Ensure product development activities comply with corporate and business-level processes.
- You will Guide problem resolution, clarify ambiguities, and remove impediments.o Lead the team towards improvement.
- You will Encourage collaboration to achieve common goals.
- Monitor project status, escalate issues.
- You will Develop team technical competencies to ensure the team can stay to support our needs.
- Manage resource allocation to ensure the right resources available to support the different needs.
- You will Identify and adopt the best practices and lessons learned from internal and external sources.
- You will Provide technical leadership, including driving problems toward resolution when encountering, uncertainty, or inflexibility.
- Experience guiding a team in analysing and solving complex problems involving both hardware and firmware.
- Knowledge hardware in high-speed digital /analog circuits. Knowledge in Industrial Automation communication will be advantage.
- Knowledge of analysis tools, design guidelines, and best practices.
- Other desired experience: Agile/SAFe methodologies, CyberSecurity/IEC 62443, IEC 61508 Functional Safety.
- Experience
- Bachelor / Master of Engineering degree in Electrical/ Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in embedded product development.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a people manager in product development.
- Experience in developing embedded software, including product verification, and validation knowledge.
- You have Passion in embedded engineering. Have strong desired for continuous improvement in applying best practice and modern technologies in embedded design.
