The Role

We are seeking an Engineering Director/VP to help drive Arta’s B2B technology evolution at this critical inflection point. Based in Singapore, you will oversee a high performing engineering team and drive the architecture, scaling, and governance of our platform for enterprise-grade adoption by financial institutions.

This role is for an AI native transformational leader who thrives on change: bringing discipline and structure without losing the innovative spirit of a startup and speed in the AI era. You’ll elevate engineering maturity, embed compliance and risk management, and prepare Arta’s platform to meet the demands of global financial institutions.

Importantly, the Eng Director/VP will also be a client-facing technology leader—presenting and explaining the technical strengths and details of the platform to prospective enterprise clients, and translating business needs into scalable and robust technology. This requires not just technical mastery but also strong executive presence, storytelling, and communication skills.

What You Will DoTechnology Transformation
  • Redefine the technology roadmap to support Arta’s enterprise B2B platform.

  • Lead the transition from startup speed to enterprise discipline, balancing innovation with security, reliability, and compliance.

  • Modernize platform architecture for scalability, resilience, and global regulatory requirements.

Enterprise-Grade Platform Leadership
  • Implement best practices in security, data governance, availability, and disaster recovery.

  • Oversee re-architecture of systems to support APIs, integrations, and enterprise client onboarding.

  • Introduce strong engineering processes: release management, incident response, observability, and vendor governance.

Organizational Leadership
  • Build and mature a high-performance engineering team, aligned with enterprise delivery standards.
    Elevate the culture from “startup scrappiness” to “enterprise readiness” while retaining agility and innovation.

  • Scale the organization with clear metrics, processes, and accountability.

Risk, Compliance & Trust
  • Embed compliance into platform design—meeting requirements of MAS, SEC, GDPR, and other global regulators.

  • Drive a proactive risk management framework covering cybersecurity, data protection, and operational resilience.

  • Serve as the internal and external voice of technology trustworthiness.

Executive Leadership & Client Engagement
  • Act as a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team, shaping strategy through a technology and risk lens.

  • Lead product demonstrations and technical presentations with enterprise clients, investors, and regulators.

  • Translate technical capabilities into compelling value propositions that build client trust and accelerate deals.

  • Represent Arta as a credible, confident, and articulate technology leader in high-stakes external conversations.

Who You Are
  • Experience: 18+ years in technology, with at least 5 years in VP/Director of Engineering/startup CTO, or equivalent transformational leadership role in fintech, enterprise SaaS, or other regulated industries.

  • Track Record: Demonstrated success leading a company through scale-up or transformation—building enterprise-grade systems from startup foundations.

  • Enterprise Rigor: Deep experience with platform security, compliance, uptime, and risk management in regulated environments.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to grow and professionalize engineering teams while maintaining innovation.

  • Client-Facing Presence: Skilled at leading product demos, technical deep-dives, and executive-level presentations with enterprise clients.

  • Technical Depth: Strong grasp of cloud-native architectures, multi-tenant SaaS, enterprise integrations, and cybersecurity frameworks.

  • Mindset: Change agent with the ability to introduce discipline and governance without stifling agility.

  • Executive Presence: Strong communicator with the ability to build trust with regulators, clients, boards, and investors.

  • Location: Based in Singapore, or you plan to relocate to Singapore.
