About the Team
As the Engineering Director of Growth Product, you will lead the Engineering teams responsible for architecting and scaling the backend systems that power OKX’s global user growth engine. This role will drive the technical vision and execution for core growth platforms, including Campaign, Task, Reward, CRM, User Tagging, SEO/ASO tooling, Content Management Systems, Paid Ads tracking, Affiliate, Referral Programs and other Growth and Marketing Technology infrastructure.
 
This is a high-impact leadership position, working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Growth, and Data teams to build intelligent, scalable, and data-driven systems that drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
 
What You’ll Be Doing 
  • Own and drive the backend architecture for all growth-related platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and flexibility
  • Lead the engineering efforts on:
    • Campaign, Task, Reward platform, Lead Management and CRM Infrastructure
    • Content management systems and tooling to support content-driven growth strategies
    • Lead and mentor backend engineering teams across multiple growth verticals, promoting best practices and high-quality code delivery
    • Collaborate with Growth Product Managers, Marketing, Data, and BI teams to translate growth strategies into robust backend solutions
    • Oversee system integration with third-party marketing, analytics, and automation platforms
    • Establish engineering excellence standards for code quality, observability, automation, security, and performance
    • Identify and implement new technologies and frameworks to improve the effectiveness of growth engineering

What We Look For In You 
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in an engineering leadership role in growth or marketing technology teams
  • Proven experience leading backend engineering for growth systems such as campaign, task, reward, referral programs or affiliate programs stacks
  • Deep hands-on experience with micro-services, distributed systems, data pipelines, and API development
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and modern backend architectures
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing ecosystems (CRM, ad tracking, attribution, affiliate management platforms)
  • Experience working closely with Growth, Marketing, and Data teams to enable data-driven growth strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
