Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.  The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.


Responsibilities
  • In charge of operation of NDT testing onsite includes test arrangement, testing and reporting.
  • Provides counsel to coworkers and customers requiring critical analysis of data.
  • Be responsible for SINGLAS Accreditation.
  • Assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers
  • Utilizes an assortment of skills, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis.
  • Capable to read/translate construction drawings and technical requirement in reaching testing conclusions.
  • Confident making both formal and information presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Review test report and ensure all laboratory are in constant state of regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
  • Develop training material and deliver technical training to laboratory colleagues.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Possess minimum a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Material Science. 
  • No experience required
  • Working knowledge of construction site and laboratory safety will be beneficial.
  • Possesses a wealth of knowledge, deep awareness and critical understanding related to the scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of civil engineering discipline
  • Has a depth of specialty knowledge and understanding in multiple areas of civil engineering discipline
  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
  • Possess strong computer skills and auto-cad.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
  • Possess class 3 driving license is a plus
