Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all E&I design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technical interface with engineering consultants and contractors.
- Review and approve E&I engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Automation, IT, Piping, HVAC, and Utilities teams to ensure effective integration across disciplines.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and ensure E&I inputs are incorporated at the appropriate level of detail.
- Ensure EHS requirements are embedded in design, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
- Review and support RFPs, technical bid evaluations, contractor selection, and equipment procurement.
- Manage the transition from design through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Oversee E&I installation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, to specification, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Attend vendor, fabrication, and equipment workshops as required.
- Review and approve mock-ups, testing activities, and turnover documentation.
- Ensure complete and accurate as-built documentation and handover packages are delivered at project closeout.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
- Significant experience leading E&I engineering and design for large industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, automation interfaces, and multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Experience working with EPC/EPCM contractors and managing engineering consultants.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
