This role focuses on managing supplier quality for electrical systems and assemblies, with a strong emphasis on practical understanding of electronic circuits, power systems, and interconnections. The engineer will act as a technical interface to validate supplier deliverables, troubleshoot issues, and ensure robust system integration without owning product design.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop strong understanding of electrical systems including PCBA, wiring harnesses, connectors, and AC/DC power distribution
  • Review and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system interconnections
  • Own supplier quality for electrical components (PCBA, cable harnesses, power supplies)
  • Evaluate supplier technical capability in electrical assembly, testing, and process control
  • Drive supplier audits (process, technical, and quality system assessments)
  • Monitor supplier performance (QPPM, DMR, NC trends) and lead improvement actions
  • Lead investigation of electrical failures (e.g., connectivity issues, power faults, intermittent failures)
  • Verify supplier manufacturing processes for electrical assemblies (e.g., soldering, crimping, cable routing, insulation)
  • Validate key quality controls such as inspection methods, ESD handling, and functional testing
  • Support engineering changes by validating impact to electrical interfaces and system integration
  • Collaborate with global teams on supplier performance and issue resolution

Preferred Profile :

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Strong product knowledge on semiconductor capital equipment products and processes
  • Strong hands-on understanding of wiring, electrical connections, and power systems
  • Experience working with schematics, harness drawings, and system integration
  • Familiarity with supplier quality, manufacturing processes, and audits
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., soldering, PCBA), ESD, and assembly best practices
