Design Engineering Team
The Design Engineering (DE) team drives the technology, innovation, new development, quality and engineering excellence of data center infrastructure across Vantage’s companywide portfolio. DE evaluates the technical viability of new sites, drives engineering solutions, cost and scheduling efficiencies in line with corporate goals, and serves as subject matter experts across the entire project lifecycle from concept design through to commissioning.

The DE team collaborates strongly with Sales, Operations, regional management, and global innovation groups along the way. D&E also works hand in hand with the Construction team (DE&C) to develop and drive a vertically integrated design and ensures existing standards, regulatory frameworks and designs are managed and executed effectively, across our diverse APAC existing market, plus will support the strategic positioning of Vantage’s successful entry into emerging markets.

Document Controller, APAC

Position Description
 

Vantage is looking for Document Controller, APAC to drive core project coordination efforts across a wide spectrum of ongoing Design Engineering & Construction projects. Daily tasks include project document management and distribution, project filing structure/hierarchy, administration of project observation reports, and transition of close-out documentation to

Operations. Regular collaboration and coordination is required with internal resources, external consultants, general contractors and vendors/suppliers.

Whilst this role’s reporting line will be to the Vice President, Design Engineering APAC, the Document Controller will also work closely with and for the Construction and Commercial teams of DE&C.
 

Essential Job Functions

· Drive the management and distribution of the various documents across the current and future APAC projects, enabling consistency and ease of access of the most up to date information.

· Proactive organisation of the Project filing structure/hierarchy.

· Audit Procore and VDC SharePoint for organization of documents.

· Manage the transfer and sychronisation of information and documents between Procore/VDC SharePoint and other external platforms as mandated by our Customers (e.g. ACC, Aconex, etc…).

· Act as the first Point of Contact for Site Selection and New Site Development Intake forms.

· Facilitate weekly project reporting

· Create and manage templates

· Lead and train the DE&C team in document management, processes, and procedures for projects from inception to closeout

· Ensure project compliance with Vantage document controls and file specifications

· Additional duties as assigned from time to time by Management
 

Job Requirements

· Bachelors in construction management, or similar field, or equivalent experience is preferred

· 3+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity required

· Data Center experience is a preferred

· Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a strong preference

· Contract preparation experience is preferred but not essential

· Role location is preferred to be in a country that VDC currently operates (Hong Kong / Singapore / Malaysia / Australia / Japan / Taiwan) and the work hours are expected to cover the various time zones of the current projects in APAC. This may change and evolve over time.

· Expected travel is less than 5%, but may grow and evolve over time
