Job Summary

The Senior Director, Infrastructure Solutions is responsible for leading the growing infrastructure solutions business. This individual should be a strategic leader who has strength in understanding the needs of the market and predicting the future requirements of current customers. They understand the competitive market, predict customer requirements, and introduce solutions to current and potential customer challenges. They are an expert communicator, able to scale from the most technical Engineering issues to the most strategic Offer Management solutions. The person in this role can drive a customer issue to appropriate resolution quickly. They should also have strength in navigating internal leaders, processes, procedures, and organizations. The Director, Infrastructure Solutions has a demonstrated ability to assess, negotiate and resolve issues by creating solutions that are technically sound, practical, and cost effective. They will partner with sales to translate Vertiv product and services suite into what, how, and when Vertiv solutions will resolve local customer problems. Strong business acumen is required, including proven success in simplifying a complex job and running a large and expanding line of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day leadership of the Asia Infrastructure Solutions group, positively influencing the broader business groups in region. 
  • Responsible for driving the Infrastructure Solutions team to surpass Business Objectives and Key Results 
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement the right Infrastructure Solutions steps at the right place, cost, and time to address customer needs through direct and indirect interaction. 
  • Motivate and lead a high-performance team; attract, recruit, and retain required members of the Infrastructure Solutions team; provide an engaging, innovative work environment, mentoring leaders as a cornerstone of management career development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree in General Engineering required; Masters in CS or Engineering preferred 
  • 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams 
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication skills and ability to build diverse relationships internally and externally and excel within a matrix organization 
  • Strategic thinking to navigate complex business and customer environments 
  • Proven track record of strong leadership, including setting up an innovative, accountable, inspired culture 
  • Inspirational leader that builds self-sufficient teams and recognized leaders within the company 
  • Regional experience in a medium to large industrial or technology organizations 
  • Strong acumen in Electrical discipline 
  • Business acumen in driving budget and organizational cost requirements 
  • Analytical skills to understand the impact of market and competitive changes as they affect the offering portfolio and determine a successful course of action 
  • Conflict resolution skills required as influencing a transformational business 
  • Experience leading successfully through rapid, significant growth
