Applied Materials is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director, Process Support Engineering (NAND) to lead technology engagement, process engineering excellence, and customer collaboration for advanced NAND memory solutions. You will work closely with key customers and internal stakeholders to solve complex integration challenges and influence product and technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the subject matter expert for NAND technologies. Drive development and optimization of process solutions across etch, deposition, patterning, and integration.

  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex yield and defectivity issues. Guide technical strategy aligned with future NAND technology nodes.

  • Serve as the primary technical interface for strategic NAND customers. Build strong relationships with customer engineering and fab leadership.

  • Lead technical reviews, escalations, and roadmap discussions. Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering solutions.

  • Oversee PSE activities covering installation, qualification, and process optimization.

  • Drive improvements in yield, throughput, and tool performance. Establish best practices and ensure consistent execution across global teams.

  • Partner with R&D, Product Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams. Provide field insights to influence product development and enhancements.

  • Build organizational capability in advanced NAND process technologies. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer focus.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related discipline.

  • 15+ years in semiconductor industry with strong focus on NAND memory.

  • Experience in process integration or module engineering (etch, deposition, CMP, or patterning).

  • Proven years of experiences in leading and mentoring a highly-performing and technical engineering teams.

  • Proven track record supporting high-volume manufacturing and customer-facing roles.

  • Experience with leading NAND manufacturers is highly preferred.
