Role Overview

Cboe's Data Vantage business is seeking a highly motivated Director of Market Data Sales for the APAC region to develop, execute, and drive revenue growth for Cboe market data solutions, with a strong focus on regional sales strategy, pipeline development, and strengthening brand visibility. The Director of Market Data Sales will play a leading role in expanding Cboe's market presence in the region and enhancing client relationships within the rapidly evolving financial markets landscape.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Generate revenue through the sale of Cboe Market Data products across APAC region.

  • Identify and pursue new market entrants as primary growth targets within the territory.

  • Meet and exceed sales goals (targets) for market data products across an assigned territory.

  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline; prospect, qualify, and advance a high volume of transactions simultaneously.

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with clients including exchanges, banks, asset managers, and data vendors.

  • Drive new business growth through strategic partnerships and channel development.

  • Provide strategic input on pricing policy, product development, and go-to-market strategy for the APAC market.

  • Mentor and informally guide junior team members; actively contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.

  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to anticipate market opportunities and potential challenges.

  • Represent Cboe at industry conferences, trade shows, and client events to enhance brand awareness and cultivate new business opportunities.

  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of 12+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Quantifiable track record of success in B2B consultative solutions. sales, with a focus on financial markets (Specifically market data and/or trading technology).

  • Proven track record of meetings or exceeding individual sales quotas.

  • Established network of senior relationships across the APAC market data and financial trading community.

  • Strong understanding of financial markets (equities, options, indices, market data), trading workflows, and regulatory requirements across APAC jurisdiction.

  • Deep understanding of market data licensing, redistribution agreements, usage-based pricing, and policy frameworks.

  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer service mindset.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences across the region.

  • Previous experience working within a data/software vendor, exchange, or trading firm preferred.
