We are looking for our future Director, Manufacturing Excellence Transformation - Singapore Lead to join our Global Manufacturing team.

The role is based in Singapore with onsite & travels requirements.

Role purpose

Lead the Singapore site’s Manufacturing Excellence transformation delivery—building the roadmap, team, and adoption system that positions Singapore as Resmed’s advanced manufacturing and World Economic Forum Lighthouse automation flagship, while creating scalable patterns (‘design once, deploy many’) for replication across the global manufacturing network.

Singapore is a major contributor to global volume and the proving ground for automation at scale. This role translates the global Manufacturing Excellence strategy into Singapore execution: MES foundations, digitally enabled performance management, Lean maturity uplift, and Lighthouse-aligned automation use cases—then codifies what works into repeatable playbooks for other sites and regional hubs.

Reporting line and scope
  • Geographic scope: Singapore manufacturing site; influence across other sites through replication playbooks.
  • People leadership: Build and lead a site transformation team and cross-functional squads (direct + matrix).
  • Key partnerships: Site Leadership, Operations, Engineering, Quality, IT/OT, Digital, Supply Chain, Finance, and People teams.
Core accountabilities

Own Singapore’s Manufacturing Excellence roadmap from strategy to execution

  • Translate the global Manufacturing Excellence roadmap into a Singapore plan spanning MES, Lean maturity, digital “visual factory”, automation, and Lighthouse enablement.
  • Establish disciplined governance: stage gates, RAID, decision register, and benefits tracking.
  • Maintain clear sequencing and dependencies (IT/OT readiness, process standardisation, capability build).

Lead MES deployment and digitally enabled operational excellence

  • Partner with IT/OT, operations, and quality to deliver MES waves/modules and embed stable adoption.
  • Standardise real-time performance management routines (tier cadence, operational analytics, visual management) to reduce manual reporting and improve decision quality.
  • Define data/KPI standards and ensure “one source of truth” for the site.

Deliver advanced automation use cases and Lighthouse readiness

  • Build and run a portfolio of Lighthouse-aligned advanced manufacturing and automation use cases (discovery → pilot → scale → sustain).
  • Create reusable standards and deployment patterns so Singapore becomes the “template” for other sites.
  • Coordinate evidence-building for Lighthouse readiness milestones (as applicable).

Build and scale a high-performing transformation team

  • Recruit and develop capability across Lean, MES/digital, analytics, and automation enablement.
  • Set clear role accountability, ways of working, and high performance expectations.
  • Build a bench of site champions and change agents embedded in operations for sustainment.

Drive change management excellence (adoption + sustainment)

  • Treat adoption as a deliverable: readiness, training, communications, reinforcement, and sustainment controls.
  • Coach leaders as sponsors; build change capability in frontline teams.
  • Use leading indicators to detect adoption drift early and intervene to restore momentum.

Accelerate Lean value creation and operational discipline

  • Embed standard work, problem solving, and CI routines into daily operations.
  • Deliver measurable productivity and performance improvements with sustainment evidence (90–180 days).

  • Delivery : Milestone delivery across MES, digital routines, Lean maturity, and automation/Lighthouse initiatives.

  • Value realisation : Validated productivity/value benefits with sustainment evidence (90–180 day hold).

  • Adoption : Usage/adherence for daily management cadence, standard work, and digital workflows.

  • Program health : Decision cycle time, risk closure rate and milestone predictability

  • People leadership : Team engagement, retention of critical transformation talent, capability progression/coverage

  • Lighthouse readiness : Progress against readiness milestones and evidence pack maturity

What great looks like (first 12–18 months)
  • A credible Singapore transformation roadmap delivering early wins and building confidence with site leaders.
  • MES foundations and digital routines embedded; manual reporting burden reduced; operational transparency improved.
  • A repeatable portfolio of automation/Lighthouse use cases delivered and packaged into replication playbooks.
  • A high-performing transformation team and champion network operating with consistent cadence and sustainment controls.

Your experience and capabilities

  • Proven transformation leadership in manufacturing (Lean + digital + automation); strong exposure to MES/IT-OT environments.
  • Demonstrated people leader who can build teams at pace, lead through ambiguity, and sustain delivery.
  • Strong change management capability: adoption design, reinforcement, and sustainment controls.
  • Experience in Southeast Asia manufacturing hubs preferred; effective cross-cultural stakeholder leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen; can translate operational levers into cost/unit and value outcomes.
