JOB DESCRIPTION
This key role within the Keppel Credit Fund Management team focuses on investment activities and managing the end-to-end investment process. The key areas of responsibilities include originating, structuring and executing financing transactions. The primary objective is to maximize risk-adjusted investment returns for the funds under management.
Key Responsibilities
- To undertake the originating, analyzing, structuring, negotiating, recommending and when approved, closing new deals, including due diligence and legal documentation, in accordance with the investment mandate.
- To monitor all key markets to source for suitable investment opportunities and recommend strategies to deliver superior long-term risk adjusted returns.
- To build and maintain relationships with investment partners, service providers, brokers and other market participants in the targeted key markets.
- To assist in generating market awareness of Keppel’s Credit Fund mandate.
- Plan and implement strategies around asset management and investment exits. Responsible for periodic reporting, including quarterly investor reports, annual reports, and bespoke reports regarding the investments.
- To provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in origination and execution of transactions in the Asia-Pacific infrastructure financing, project financing, leverage financing or private credit space.
- Proven experience in structuring, credit analysis and the preparation of credit memorandums.
- Proven experience in the infrastructure sectors (e.g. renewables, power & utilities, transport, logistics, digital, social infrastructure) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ESG or sustainability principles in investment execution is a strong plus.
- The candidate should be comfortable working in a collegial, collaborative, fast-paced, high-growth environment and possess high levels of intellect, drive, and energy. Process-oriented and customer-focused both internally and externally.
- Self-motivated, hands-on, entrepreneurial, resourceful, meticulous and results-driven.
