A leading global financial institution is seeking a Director of Global Procurement Enablement and Operations to establish and continuously enhance the operating foundation for its Global Enterprise Technology Procurement function. This pivotal role acts as the operational leader, ensuring procurement teams across regions are unified by common processes, governance frameworks, tools, data, and performance standards. What you'll do:

As Director of Global Procurement Enablement and Operations you will play a central role in shaping the future of enterprise technology procurement. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with geographically dispersed teams to build alignment around common processes and governance frameworks. You will drive operational consistency while supporting regional flexibility where needed. By leading transformation initiatives focused on simplification, standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement you will elevate procurement effectiveness across the organisation. Your expertise in analytics will enable you to develop executive reporting systems that provide actionable insights for leadership. You will oversee compliance activities in partnership with key stakeholders from Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit functions. Additionally you will foster a high-performing culture by developing competency frameworks, training programmes, career pathways, workforce planning initiatives, knowledge sharing platforms, and best-practice adoption. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills as you influence senior stakeholders across Technology, Planning, Risk, and Procurement while translating strategic priorities into scalable operational practices.


  • Lead the development and execution of the Global Enterprise Technology Procurement operating model by establishing governance structures, decision rights, and accountability frameworks that unify regional teams.
  • Define standard sourcing, supplier management, and procurement processes across all regions to ensure consistency while allowing for regional flexibility where necessary.
  • Align global category strategies with regional execution to maximise business value delivery at scale.
  • Drive organisational consistency by implementing common tools, data standards, and performance metrics throughout the procurement function.
  • Champion initiatives that simplify, standardise, and automate procurement processes to increase efficiency and maturity within the organisation.
  • Sponsor procurement transformation projects and implementation of new capabilities that promote continuous improvement across all teams.
  • Establish procurement performance metrics and executive reporting systems to provide transparency on spend, savings, supplier performance, sourcing activity, and risk.
  • Develop dashboards and management reports for procurement and technology leadership to support strategic planning through analytics and market intelligence.
  • Oversee procurement governance and compliance activities by partnering with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit functions to ensure effective controls are in place.
  • Lead the development of procurement capabilities across the organisation by establishing competency frameworks, training programmes, career development pathways, workforce planning initiatives, knowledge sharing platforms, and best-practice adoption.

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in procurement operations or business management within large multinational organisations is essential for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop global operating models and governance frameworks that unify geographically dispersed teams is highly valued.
  • Proven experience in procurement excellence methodologies including analytics platforms process design organisational transformation is crucial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Technology or related discipline is required for this position.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven experience influencing senior leaders across multiple functions such as Technology Planning Risk Procurement are required.
  • Advanced communication skills enabling you to build alignment translate strategic priorities into operational practices lead change programmes effectively are important.
  • Experience leading organisational change transformation programmes championing modern procurement practices is desirable.
  • Technology procurement experience within financial services sector is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with procurement technologies analytics platforms automation initiatives would be advantageous for this role.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS CPSM PMP or equivalent are considered beneficial.
