MUFG is hiring a Director to lead the Global Centre of Excellence for Cybersecurity awareness and training, and Regional Technology Information Security Office (TISO) for APAC. This role is crucial in reinforcing the Bank’s cybersecurity posture by educating and engaging employees globally and in an effective manner, so that employees be the first line of cybersecurity defence for the Bank. This role will also be responsible for orchestrating cyber maturity assessment and risk profiling across MUFG entities in APAC.
Job Responsibilities:
Global Cyber Awareness Program Development and Management
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive global cybersecurity awareness and training program.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with international cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Global Cybersecurity Training and Education
- Design and deliver training and educational programs that enhance cybersecurity knowledge across all levels of the organization and across multiple countries and regions where the Bank operates in.Collaborate with internal and external experts to ensure content is current, relevant and engaging
- Develop hands-on training modules and simulations to provide experiential cybersecurity learning experience.
- Utilize innovative learning technologies and methods, e.g. gamification, to enhance engagement and retention.
Cybersecurity Promotion and Publicity
- Create and execute strategies to promote cybersecurity awareness initiatives within the multiple regions and countries that the Bank operates in
- Develop communication plans to highlight the importance of cybersecurity and the role of employees in maintaining security.
Cybersecurity Maturity Assessment and Risk Profiling
- Orchestrate the Cyber Security maturity assessments, e.g. CRI Profile Diagnostics, across the region in alignment with Global standards.
- Implement MUFG Global IT Security Standards and Risk Assessments across the region.
- Implement Cyber Risk Profiling and KRI reporting to measure the cyber hygiene and posture of the region.
Engagement with Global Stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with global stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and program delivery.
- Promote global collaboration to improve the collective cybersecurity posture of the Bank
- Act as a liaison between different regions to share best practices and coordinate efforts.

- Provide strategic direction for the cybersecurity awareness, training and maturity program.
- Inspire and lead a team of cybersecurity professionals to achieve program objectives.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate cybersecurity awareness and practices into business processes.
- Continuous Improvement
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs, maturity assessment and risk profiling; and make data-driven improvements.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Cyber Security Awareness, Training and Maturity Programs.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity standards (e.g. ISO27001, NIST Cyber Framework, CRI).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in pedagogy in education, experiential learning and understanding of how humans learn effectively.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Good stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
