How will you make an impact?

You will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis activities for the $4B+ business in the Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region within Thermo Fisher Scientific. By effectively leading and coordinating planning and forcasting activities, you will be instrumental in providing valuable financial insights to drive growth and profitability of the APJ region and contribute to the overall success of Thermo Fisher Scientific in the APJ market.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate the Region management reporting activities and ensure compliance with corporate timelines and expectations
  • Lead the financial planning and annual operating plan process for the Region.
  • prepare key monthly and quarterly business review materials and outlooks.
  • Identify key risks and opportunities; work with commercial and functional leaders to drive revenue upside and risk mitigation.
  • Effectively communicate financial results to senior leadership, draw insight from analysis, and develop compelling, synthesized recommendations
  • Driving the future of analytics and associated organizational change within the commercial and finance teams, through storytelling with data, automation, and dashboards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in execution and operational excellence.
  • Assist with the planning process.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as business requirements emerge
  • Find opportunities for improving internal financial operations for APJ and work with the regional finance team to implement changes
  • Developing an outstanding team and actively supporting their growth and encouraging an environment where they can excel

How will you get here?

  • 15+ years financial experience with minimum 5+ years of leadership experience within a large, multinational matrixed organization
  • Outstanding analytical skills, with a focus on details and the capacity to consider the broader business implications.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact.
  • Working experience with Hyperion Planning, CMR, Power BI
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence across a global organization.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Intercultural efficiency and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to partner with management at all levels and to lead major projects and initiatives
