About the role

The purpose of this role is to drive and manage commercial aspects of customer prospects across DayOne’s portfolio of data centres globally. You will be responsible for managing the profitability of DayOne’s customers, including reviewing, negotiating and overseeing contracts, pursuing new business opportunities and supporting sales and marketing strategies.

You must have a good knowledge of the ICT and data centre market and possess strong commercial acumen. This role will be based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic pricing for bids/RFPs and non-standard or complex products/solutions

  • Conduct commercial risk assessment for customer contracts and other strategic initiatives / investment. Work with all business units (eg legal) to review non-standard contracts or non-standard terms

  • Drive the review/approval process with Deal Committee for proposals that are non-standard/complex/capex-intensive

  • Provide support to Sales on commercial proposals (pricing and costing). Perform win-loss analysis.

  • Co-drive regular review of costing / pricing in the various markets with Sales and Product.

  • Co-drive the review the renewal / churn of service agreements / leases with Sales

  • Prepare Sales forecast and pipeline analysis

  • Proactively present suggestions for process/business improvements and assume accountability for implementation of relevant initiatives.

  • Drives the digitizing of commercial and quotation processes to improve efficiency

Qualifications and experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in business analysis, preferably in a data centre, IT infrastructure, telecommunications, or technology environment.

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Financial knowledge to build business cases and financial models

  • Appreciation of technical knowledge of data centres, telecommunications and other technologies relevant to data centres

  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
