Purpose
- The role supports the global Digital Communications team in the day-to-day execution of the firm’s digital strategy across a broad suite of public and client-facing digital channels, with a primary focus on Asia and the Middle East.
- This role focuses on ensuring the Digital Communications team is supported across a range of digital marketing tasks across our and our associated firms’ website platforms, social media channels and email marketing.
- The role also supports in the planning, drafting and implementation of communication initiatives for the Asia region.
Key Interactions
- Under the overall guidance of the Digital Communications Manager and Asia Communications & Events Manager, you will be working in close collaboration with your peers in BDM, Knowledge and Learning, Technology, HR, Corporate Responsibility and other Business teams, and members of the practice (including partners, lawyers, and secretaries) to help promote the firm’s work, knowledge and reputation globally.
- Based in Asia, you will be a key member of the global Digital Communications team, primarily supporting offices across Asia and the Middle East, but additionally supporting the wider, global regions with their digital marketing requirements.
- You will also be a member of the Asia Marketing & Communications team, where your role will be to support in the planning, drafting and implementation of communication campaigns and initiatives for the Asia region.
Key responsibilities and challenges
With experience and knowledge of digital platforms required, including websites, social media and content management, you will support the team in day-to-day tasks and ad hoc projects across the firm’s external and client-facing digital channels. These include:

- Advising practice groups, sectors and client teams and other internal content owners on best digital and content practice and publishing content across all content types (for example news, publications, thought leadership, offices, responsibility, client services) on the website.
- Working with partners and lawyers to ensure they are aware of the impact of their online profiles. Offering copywriting advice, communication and training.
- Reporting on key activity and engagement analytics for visitors on the website and advising on optimisations for website functionality and visitor experience.
- Using analytics and evidence, identify potential areas for development on the website which could form future projects.
- Monitoring the central Digital Communications team’s shared mailbox and actioning requests.
- Advising on best practice for search engine optimisation of content.
- Supporting the Digital Communications Manager with ad-hoc projects.
Social Media
- Drafting (including creating image assets) and posting regional content on the firm’s social media channels using Canva, including organic and promoted campaigns. Our social media channels include LinkedIn (global account and dedicated Asia showcase page), WeChat, Passle, X (formerly known as Twitter) and Clearview Social (CVS). For WeChat, you will post content provided to you by the Asia Marketing and Communications team in local language.
- Sharing global social media best practices with Asia BDM colleagues, partners and lawyers.
- Generating and analysing reports on the success and engagement with the firm’s social media channels in Asia.
Email Marketing
- Support Asia BDM team members with technical queries relating to client publications using our eMarketing toolkits.
- Ad-hoc support in creating client publications using our eMarketing technology.
- Monitoring the team’s shared mailbox and actioning requests.
Other communications
- Support Asia Marketing & Communications team in drafting and implementing both internal and external communication initiatives.

- A suitable degree or experience in a similar role

Practical experience
- Experience in the use of digital channels and systems in a professional services environment
- Understanding and use of LinkedIn and Twitter
- Knowledge of web analytics tool
- Knowledge of Sitecore, Google Analytics, eMarketing tools, Salesforce, Interaction, Canva (desirable)
- Understanding and use of Chinese social media platforms (WeChat, Weibo) (desirable)
