Who We Are
Construct Digital is a growth-focused digital consultancy working with ambitious organisations across Southeast Asia, including IMDA, NUS, Prudential, and J.P. Morgan.
We operate through integrated Client Partnership teams, bringing together Account Managers, Project Managers, strategists, creatives, and technologists to deliver work that drives real outcomes.
We run on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) — quarterly Rocks, weekly L10s, Scorecards, and clear accountability. If you've worked in an EOS company, you'll recognise the rhythm. If you haven't, you should be the kind of person who thrives with structured goals and transparent performance tracking.
We value ownership, clarity, and people who continuously improve how work gets done — using both strong fundamentals and modern tooling.
The Role
As an Account Manager, you own the health, growth, and delivery of key client accounts within our Client Partnership team.
You are the primary point of trust for your clients and the person who sets direction internally. You shape priorities, guide teams, and make sure work lands on time, on budget, and with measurable impact. You sit at the intersection of client strategy and internal execution — which means you need to be as comfortable in a senior client conversation as you are reviewing a brief with a developer.
This is not a coordination role. You are expected to think, lead, and make decisions.
The best AMs at Construct are not reactive — they anticipate. They know enough about their clients' business, industry, and competitive landscape to have a point of view before the client asks for one. They challenge briefs that don't connect to real objectives. They surface risks before the client notices them. They own retention, not just delivery.
Our work is increasingly AI-enabled. You'll have access to pro licences for leading AI tools and a modern digital stack. We don't prescribe how you work — we expect you to proactively find smarter, faster ways to plan, communicate, analyse, and deliver.
Success here comes from judgment, leverage, and clarity — not long hours.
What You’ll Own
1) Account Health & Client Relationships
- Own the day-to-day relationship with senior clients across your accounts — and be the person they call when something goes wrong, not the person who calls a director
- Anticipate client needs before they surface as requests; proactively bring ideas, risks, and recommendations to the table
- Build relationships deep enough that clients involve you in strategic conversations, not just project updates
- Track client satisfaction signals continuously and act early — not when escalation is already inevitable
2) Delivery Oversight & Commercial Performance
- Own delivery quality across your accounts — holding PMs, creatives, and strategists to the standard the client expects
- Manage scope, budget, and change control; flag commercial risks before they become problems
- Track revenue, margin, and account profitability; understand what drives it and what threatens it
- Maintain visibility on account health: know which clients are growing, which are at risk, and why — and have a plan for both
- Ensure clients are never surprised — by timelines, costs, or outcomes
3) Strategic Account Development & Growth
- Understand each client's business, market, and competitive context well enough to identify opportunities they haven't thought to ask for
- Lead quarterly reviews, planning conversations, and strategic proposals — not as a presentation exercise, but as a genuine strategic dialogue
- Grow accounts through trusted advice and clear commercial logic — not upselling for its own sake
- Support new business pitches and proposals where your account knowledge adds value
4) Brief Intake & Commercial Shaping
- Interrogate briefs before accepting them — push back on vague objectives, undefined success criteria, or scope that doesn't connect to business outcomes
- Translate client goals into clear, well-structured briefs that internal teams can act on with confidence
- Align creative, strategy, PM, and technical teams on priorities, constraints, and what winning looks like
- Own the quality of work that leaves the agency under your accounts — if it's not right, it doesn't go out
5) Data Literacy & Performance Translation
- Read campaign and channel performance with enough fluency to have a point of view, not just a summary
- Translate data into commercial implications for the client — what the numbers mean for their business, what to do next, and what the gaps in the data are
- Lead performance reviews as a strategic conversation, not a reporting exercise
- Know when to involve a specialist and when you have enough to lead the conversation yourself
6) AI-Enabled Account Operations
- Identify where account management overhead is repetitive or low-judgment — and eliminate or automate it
- Use AI tools to improve how you research clients, synthesise briefs, prepare for conversations, and generate first-draft outputs
- Design repeatable workflows for recurring tasks — research, reporting narratives, brief prep, competitive monitoring
- Raise the bar on what "good account management" looks like when AI handles the routine
Typical Work You'll Lead
- Campaigns across paid, social, content, and digital channels
- Website and digital product briefs — from requirements to handover
- Ongoing retainers: social content, performance media, SEO, marketing automation
- Integrated programmes that span multiple disciplines and workstreams
- Annual planning, strategic reviews, and commercial proposals to senior stakeholders
You'll work closely with strategists, creatives, project managers, data specialists, and external partners — but you own account coherence.
How We Work
- Ownership over permission
- Anticipation over reaction
- Thinking over busywork
- Signal over noise
We value people who test ideas, refine processes, and share what works — whether through smarter planning, better tooling, or sharper communication. Working longer hours is not a badge of honour here. Working smarter is.
AI, Tools & Operating tack
You’ll operate in a modern, AI-enabled environment that includes:
Account & Delivery Management
Asana, Smartsheet, HubSpot, Google Workspace
Collaboration
Slack, Miro, GitHub
AI & Productivity
Claude (Skills, Cowork, Code), ChatGPT, Gemini Pro, Perplexity, Manus, Cursor, VS Code
Growth & Revenue
HubSpot, Apollo, Looker Studio, Airtable
These tools are table stakes. What matters is how you use them — to reduce friction, improve thinking, spot risks early, and move faster without sacrificing quality.
Cultural & Platform Literacy (This Matters)
You’re expected to be natively fluent in today’s digital landscape.
That means you:
- Actively use and understand platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Reddit, Telegram, Discord, Lemon8, and others
- Pay attention to how culture, behaviour, and formats are evolving — and what that means for brands
- Understand how brands show up well — and fail — in these spaces
- Can translate what's happening in the zeitgeist into meaningful conversations with clients and into sharper creative briefs
You won't be the deepest subject-matter expert in every channel — we have specialists for that. But you lead the charge: setting direction, asking the right questions, and connecting cultural insight to business outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in account management within a digital or integrated agency
- Proven track record of growing accounts and owning commercial outcomes — revenue, margin, and retention, not just client satisfaction scores
- Strong judgment and presence in senior client conversations; comfortable leading — not just managing — escalations
- Clear, structured communicator — especially when things are ambiguous, contested, or under pressure
- Proactive mindset: you anticipate what clients need, challenge briefs that lack commercial logic, and bring a point of view, not just a status update
- Genuine AI fluency — not just "I use ChatGPT." You design workflows, not just prompts. You can identify what in your day-to-day should be automated and build toward it
- Data-literate: you can sit in a client review, interpret performance, explain what it means commercially, and decide what to do next — without needing a specialist to translate for you
- Digitally and culturally literate; genuinely curious about how people, platforms, and technology are evolving
- Comfortable working across disciplines — creative, technical, strategic — without needing to be the expert in any of them
- High bar for delivery quality; detail-oriented without being process-bound
What Success Looks Like
- Clients trust your judgment and call you first — not your director
- Delivery across your accounts is calm, predictable, and commercially disciplined
- Account risks are spotted and resolved before they escalate
- Accounts grow because you create clarity, momentum, and commercial confidence
- You know which accounts are at risk of reducing scope or leaving — and you have a plan
- Internal teams know what's expected, have what they need, and produce their best work under your accounts
- The quality of work going out under your accounts reflects the agency's standard — consistently
Why Join Construct Digital
- A role with genuine ownership and strategic influence — not traffic management
- Integrated client partnership model where your judgment shapes outcomes
- Leadership that's genuinely committed to AI-driven ways of working (not lip service)
- High-trust, high-autonomy environment
- Hybrid working with real flexibility
- Strong focus on mental wellness and sustainable pace

- Competitive salary with performance-based bonus
- Annual company retreat
How We Hire
Expect practical conversations, real scenarios, and case-based thinking. We'll give you a brief and ask what's wrong with it. We'll ask how you've grown an account through a difficult period. We'll discuss how you've used AI to fundamentally change how you work — not just speed it up. We optimise for judgment, ownership, and commercial clarity — not process knowledge.
Application note
Tell us about a time you changed a client's brief — why you pushed back, what happened, and what the outcome was.
One example of how you've used AI to meaningfully change (not just speed up) how you manage accounts or communicate with clients.
