Manage deployments, configurations, patching, maintenance, incident response, root cause analysis, monitoring, access controls, backups, and recovery. Automate infrastructure provisioning and repetitive tasks while improving platform reliability, performance, availability, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
Shuru is looking for a Platform Operations Engineer to maintain reliable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms. You will manage production environments, automate operational tasks, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform stability and performance.
- Operate and monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, and containerised environments.
- Manage deployments, configurations, patching, and routine platform maintenance.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and repetitive operational tasks.
- Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, access controls, backups, and recovery processes.
- Improve platform availability, performance, resource utilisation, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in platform operations, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure support.
- Strong understanding of Linux, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform or similar tools.
- Scripting skills in Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or equivalents.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and incident management skills.
