Job Description

Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Japanese speaking Deal Desk Manager to work in the Deals Desk team located in Singapore, covering Japan. The Deal Manager will be working on non standard pricing and approvals. This position is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast-growing company in a truly international environment.

Your Impact

  • This position calls for someone who possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills, learns fast and feels confident in a dynamic environment, where decisions have to be under the pressure of tight deadlines and inline with rules of engagement. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Review non-standard pricing requests
  • Review will include financial analysis for gross margin, SSE compliance, non standard terms and deal structuring
  • Become an expert on our quoting tool, operational processes 
  • Review and enforce finance and revenue recognition compliance policies
  • Responsible for liaising with all organizations involved in the process (finance, legal, order management, etc.) on behalf of sales
  • Function as a trusted advisor to field sales on deals
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders for decision support on deal solutions
  • Be a sales advocate and partner to internal organizations to understand contract requirements, structure, business terms and identification of potential risks and/or opportunities that can affect performance, growth and strategic positioning
  • Responsible for adherence to and compliance with policy and procedures
  • Ensure that all transactions adhere to internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • Fluent in Japanese
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related desirable or equivalent military experience required
  • A total of 10+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in Deal Management experience in the IT /SaaSIndustry with proven track record of being able to to manage permanent high volumes
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions under the pressure of tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving and demanding environment
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing internal and outsourced teams
  • Efficient team player
  • Intermediate/advanced Salesforce.com and G-Suite skills are highly recommended

Deal Management works behind the scenes to make sure that our sales relationships run smoothly while enabling and empowering the teams across the world.
