Role
To support Airwallex’s continued global expansion and operational scalability, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Ops Associate to join our Data Operations team in Singapore.
In this role, you will take ownership of complex data pipelines, reporting systems, and automation initiatives that support key functions globally. You will play a key role in designing scalable, reliable, and automation-first data solutions, ensuring high data quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory readiness in a fast-growing fintech environment.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with key domain and function teams globally to translate business and regulatory requirements to drive robust automated data solutions
Design and own end-to-end data operation solutions and scalable data pipelines to support various use cases in multiple output formats through approachable applications
Improve data quality, accuracy, and reliability through systematic validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data processes, enabling actionable insights for decision-making as well as proactive issue detection and remediation
Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and data-driven tools to monitor business operations performance, detect opportunities and drive automation initiatives to improve effectiveness and efficiency, and mitigate operational and reporting data risks
Act as data subject matter expert, contributing to best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the organization; identify and measure success of function efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends and results
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above, with 4+ years of relevant experience in data operations, analytics, or data engineering-related roles
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; experience building production-grade data pipelines and automation workflows
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data validation, and monitoring best practices
Experience working with dashboards, reporting systems, and data delivery mechanisms for business and operational stakeholders
Prior experience in fintech, payments, banking, financial services, or regulated industries is highly preferred
Strong sense of ownership, ability to work independently on complex problems, and drive initiatives end-to-end
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese Mandarin; able to adapt to a working in cross-cultural working environment
