About the Role
As a Data Architect within Accenture’s Data & AI team, you will play a critical role in shaping enterprise‑scale data solutions for large public sector organizations. You will define data structures, architecture standards, and integration patterns that enable secure, scalable, and insight‑driven applications supporting mission‑critical outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to influence key technology decisions, collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, and drive data excellence across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities- Define end‑to‑end data architecture, including data models, storage, access, and integration patterns
- Translate business and application requirements into robust, scalable data designs
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing advisory input and influencing architectural decisions across teams
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and governance standards
- Establish and implement best practices for data management, data quality, and data governance
- Maintain comprehensive documentation covering data architecture, standards, and processes
- Conduct regular reviews and enhancements of data models to support evolving requirements
- Mentor and support team members on data architecture principles and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in data architecture within large‑scale, enterprise environments
- Proven expertise in Data & AI strategy and its application to real‑world business challenges
- Deep understanding of data architecture principles, data access patterns, and data taxonomy
- Experience working across multiple teams and influencing technical and design decisions
- Ability to design solutions that scale across programs and organizational boundaries
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience with data governance frameworks and regulatory‑driven environments
- Background in public sector, defence, or public safety programs
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and cloud‑based architectures
