Join DayOne – Shaping the Future of Data Infrastructure
DayOne is a global leader in the development and operation of high-performance data centers. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, we’ve built a robust presence across Asia and Europe — and we’re just getting started.
As we expand into new international markets, we’re looking for talented, driven individuals to join us on this exciting journey. This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be a key contributor to our dynamic team and help shape the future of global data infrastructure.
If you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne’s next chapter.

About the Role

As a CSA Engineer Intern, you will join DayOne’s DC Solution & Engineering team and gain exposure to how architectural planning, structural design, spatial coordination, and constructability considerations support the delivery of large-scale data center projects.

This internship is suitable for students who are interested in the built environment and want to understand how data center buildings are planned, coordinated, and developed to support complex MEP systems and long-term operations. You will learn through guided reviews, project examples, mentor discussions, and observation of selected coordination activities.

What You Will Gain

Join DayOne’s DC Solution & Engineering team to gain practical exposure to data center architectural and structural design. You will learn how building planning, structural coordination, access routes, fire interfaces, equipment support, constructability, and maintainability are considered in large-scale data center projects. This role is ideal for students from Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or related built-environment backgrounds.

Key Learning Areas

  • Data center building planning and functional zoning.
  • Architectural layout, room planning, access routes, and fire compartment interfaces.
  • Structural framing, slabs, roof loading, foundations, openings, and equipment supports.
  • Coordination between CSA and MEP disciplines.
  • Equipment replacement routes and logistics planning.
  • Design-for-safety, maintainability, and constructability principles.
  • Drawing review, checklist-based review, and issue tracking.

What You Will Do

  • Review selected architectural or structural drawings, standards, schedules, and checklists with mentor guidance.
  • Study typical data center CSA planning principles and summarize key learning points.
  • Observe selected design coordination meetings or technical review discussions.
  • Prepare simple drawing observations, comparison tables, study notes, or interface maps.
  • Explore how CSA decisions influence MEP coordination, operations, maintenance, safety, and constructability.
  • Focus on one CSA topic that matches your background, such as equipment replacement route planning, room data quality, fire compartment coordination, slab opening register, equipment support coordination, or plinth/detail standardization.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma, Undergraduate, or Graduate program in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Interested in data center design, industrial buildings, infrastructure, construction coordination, or technical project delivery.
  • Curious about how buildings are planned, coordinated, built, maintained, and operated.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to learn from drawings, project examples, and mentor feedback.
  • Comfortable preparing simple summaries, sketches, diagrams, tables, or presentation materials.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of architectural drawings, structural drawings, BIM/model coordination, or construction documentation.
  • Interest in planning, design coordination, constructability, safety, or lifecycle operation.
  • Ability to organize observations clearly and communicate findings in a structured way.
  • Able to use AutoDesk CAD/Revit, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for basic documentation and study work.

DayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
If you're ready to grow with one of the fastest-moving companies in the data center industry, apply now and be part of our global journey.
