Department Profile

Asia Credit Sales sits within our Fixed Income Division. We are seeking an Executive Director / Vice President level Credit Sales professional to join our Singapore-based Fixed Income franchise, focusing on Institutional clients. The role covers primary and secondary credit products across IG, HY and structured credit, working closely with trading, syndicate, structuring and broader markets coverage teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building deep, trusted relationships with regional and global FI clients, delivering tailored credit solutions, and driving sustainable revenue growth across flow and bespoke transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Client Coverage
    • Act as a primary coverage for Institutional clients, including banks, insurers, asset managers, pension funds, sovereign entities and other regulated investors.
    • Develop and deepen senior-level relationships with key decision-makers across Asia.
  • Product & Execution
    • Market and execute secondary credit transactions across investment grade, high yield and structured credit.
    • Partner closely with credit trading desks to distribute axes, provide market colour, and execute risk efficiently.
    • Collaborate with DCM, Syndicate and Structuring on primary issuance, bespoke solutions and balance-sheet-driven opportunities.
  • Advisory & Solutions
    • Provide clients with actionable trade ideas, relative value analysis and portfolio solutions aligned with their risk, regulatory and balance sheet constraints.
    • Support clients on liquidity management, yield enhancement and risk optimisation strategies using cash and derivative credit products.
  • Revenue & Franchise Development
    • Drive consistent revenue generation through disciplined client engagement, idea origination and execution excellence.
    • Contribute to broader APAC FI franchise strategy, including cross-product collaboration with Rates, FX and Structured Solutions teams.
  • Risk, Controls & Governance
    • Operate within firm risk, compliance and conduct standards.
    • Maintain strong understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting FI clients (e.g. capital, liquidity, accounting considerations).

Qualifications

  • ED – VP level 8+years of experiences in Credit Sales within a global investment bank or leading financial institution.
  • Demonstrated experience covering Institutional clients in Asia.
  • Strong product knowledge across cash credit, with familiarity in structured or bespoke credit solutions advantageous.
  • Proven track record of:
    • Building and maintaining senior client relationships
    • Generating revenue across flow and solutions-based sales
    • Partnering effectively with trading and investment banking teams
  • Strong understanding of credit markets, macro drivers and relative value dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, commercial judgement and execution skills.
  • Ideally being Singapore-based having market experience and established FI client relationships.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, multi-product environment.
  • Commercial mindset with disciplined risk awareness.
  • Strong reputation for integrity, client focus and teamwork.
