Role Overview
The Creative Manager is responsible for leading the creative vision of the agency, ensuring all creative outputs align with client objectives, brand standards, and business goals. This role manages the creative team, oversees multiple projects end-to-end, collaborates closely with clients and internal stakeholders, and supports the Sales team by developing compelling presentation decks and pitch materials. A strong understanding of esports and gaming culture is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Leadership
- Provide strong creative direction and guidance across all projects, ensuring outputs meet client objectives and uphold the agency’s standards of quality, creativity, and innovation.
- Translate strategic goals into clear creative concepts and executions.
2. Team Management
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals.
- Foster a collaborative, productive, and high-performing creative environment.
3. Project Oversight
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from concept development to final execution.
- Ensure timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are consistently met.
4. Client Collaboration
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, objectives, brand identities, and target audiences.
- Present and justify creative ideas clearly and confidently to internal and external stakeholders.
5. Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with account managers, strategists, sales, and production teams to develop creative strategies aligned with clients’ marketing and business goals.
- Ensure creative execution supports overall campaign strategy and KPIs.
6. Budget & Resource Management
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and agreed timelines.
7. Quality Assurance
- Review and approve creative work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of creative excellence across all outputs.
8. Sales Support
- Support the Sales team by creating and refining pitch decks, presentations, and visual materials for proposals and client pitches.
- Ensure decks are visually compelling, strategic, and aligned with client needs.
9. Industry Awareness
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design, advertising, marketing, and esports.
- Proactively introduce new creative approaches and innovations to the team.
10. Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Track the performance of creative projects and campaigns.
- Analyze the effectiveness of creative strategies and use data-driven insights to improve future work.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Creative Manager, Creative Lead, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of esports, gaming, and digital culture.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop (and other creative tools as needed).
- Ability to conceptualize, execute, and review creative work across multiple formats.
- Experience managing creative teams and collaborating across departments.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience supporting sales pitches.
- Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- 2–5 years of experience in strategic planning, creative planning, or brand strategy (agency or gaming-related preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an agency, esports, gaming, or digital marketing environment.
- Knowledge of additional design or editing tools (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, After Effects).
- Ability to interpret performance data and optimize creative strategies accordingly.
- Experience supporting pitch decks or winning new business
- Understanding of the gaming market (especially Southeast Asia)
