The Japan team is looking for a dynamic Reseller Marketing Manager with trade and retail digital marketing experience to reach new audiences, and support revenue growth of Bose with 2 reseller partners.
THE ROLE
The Reseller Marketing Manager will build and execute joint annual marketing plans for specified resellers, collaborate with key account managers, global marketing team and be the go-to contact for marketing peers at key resellers in Japan. You will be responsible planning and executing instore and digital marketing tactics that reach new and core customers, support revenue growth and align to the global marketing strategy.
You will have strong communication, influencing and organizational skills with an interest in music, consumer electronics and be tech savvy. This role requires someone who is confident presenting virtually and in person, in Japanese and English. This role would ideally suit someone who has lived, studied or worked abroad and is keen to work for a global company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Building out the global marketing strategy to execute in Japan, delivering a point of difference for each reseller partner, leaning into their strengths and customer base to support revenue growth.
- Driving a solid and structured communication plan with our resellers, sharing details to excite and promote greater reseller investment in the partnership. This includes launch, campaign, demos, new retail/customer experiences etc.
- Leveraging reseller shopper insights for data-driven omnichannel strategies. Establish data sharing & reporting norms.
- Driving reseller performance management process for the respective resellers, reporting out on marketing performance, investment vs. plan and key results vs objectives. You will manage budgets, and allocation of budgets to maximise performance.
- Working alongside global omnichannel team to ensure digital approach to content is aligned to our overall reseller objectives. Partner with digital team to drive seamless execution of plans. Ensures all translated content is effective for the market.
- Working with internal teams, or pre-determined agency partners where needed, to deliver reseller-specific advertising content and execute digital marketing strategies. You will manage the timelines and deliverables across all marketing tactics for each reseller. You will be required to write local adcopy for digital and print ads.
- Supporting/enabling retail experience strategy and in some cases, drives the execution of our retail operations within a given region, which cuts across in-store, mobile, and digital experiences, including but not limited to displays, maintenance, demos, training, incentive programs, etc.
This is a permanent, hybrid position working from home and in the Tokyo office. You will travel to meet with reseller partners, undertake store visits and work with the global marketing team.
SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 8 years digital and or trade marketing
- 4 years experience in business-facing sales & marketing role, ideally in a retail environment
- BA (Business, marketing)
- Shopper insight experience preferred
- Negotiation skills & ability to sell-in & influence effectively
- Critical thinking to effectively simplify data into actionable insights.
- Be comfortable with ambiguity, be flexible to new ways of working & influence without authority
- Ability to work in a constructive & collaborative manner
