Job Summary

The Corrosion Engineer will be responsible for conducting corrosion risk assessments and recommending effective corrosion prevention solutions, including material selection, protective coatings, and cathodic protection systems to ensure the integrity and reliability of assets in the Oil & Gas / Refinery industry.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct corrosion risk assessments for pipelines, equipment, and plant facilities.

  • Evaluate corrosion issues and recommend appropriate materials, coatings, and cathodic protection systems.

  • Develop and implement corrosion monitoring and prevention programs.

  • Analyze inspection and monitoring data to identify corrosion threats and mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and corrosion management procedures.

  • Prepare technical reports and recommendations related to corrosion control.

  • Work closely with inspection, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure asset integrity.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corrosion engineering within Oil & Gas / Refinery industry.

  • Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, coatings, and cathodic protection systems.

  • Experience in corrosion risk assessment and integrity management programs.

  • Good analytical, reporting, and technical communication skills.
