As a Valuation Control Group (VCG) Associate in Singapore, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fair valuation of our risk portfolios. As a Valuation Control Group (VCG) Associate in the Rates APAC team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the valuation control framework for the Rates APAC desk. You will work with a wide array of Rates and FX products, primarily focusing on G10 currencies, including interest rate swaps, options, bonds, and structured products. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate valuation controls and provide value-added analysis.

As a Valuation Control Group (VCG) Associate in the Rates APAC team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the valuation control framework for the Rates APAC desk. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate valuation controls and provide value-added analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the valuation control framework for the Rates APAC desk, including independent price verification and valuation adjustments.
- Identify emerging valuation risks and enhance methodologies to capture market dynamics.
- Collaborate with Quantitative Research and Model Review Groups to assess trading model limitations and implement compensating controls.
- Maintain relationships with Front Office and key partners, providing analysis on month-end results and complex transactions.
- Participate in projects within the group and the wider Finance organization, and engage in regulatory exams and inquiries.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial industry or relevant experience.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- Strong quantitative aptitude and interest in financial markets and products.
- Critical thinker with sound judgment and the ability to challenge constructively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize complex subjects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Understanding of or training in financial products or derivatives pricing.
- Knowledge of data science (e.g., Machine learning), analytics platforms (e.g., Alteryx), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
