Purpose of the Role
To embed The Maersk Way across Ocean Operations by driving continuous improvement, eliminating waste in processes, and anchoring new ways of working through the Maersk Operating System (MOS).
The role ensures best practices are shared across areas and regions, improvement opportunities are translated into sustainable results, and data-driven insights are used to effectively run and improve the operating system.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and embed The Maersk Way across Ocean Operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned to Ocean Operations priorities.
- Work with regional and global Operational Excellence teams to implement agreed initiatives through the MOS.
- Identify, solve, and sustainably eliminate operational inefficiencies and process waste.
- Ensure improvement findings and best practices are shared across areas and regions.
- Validate trade-offs between cost and quality to support operational objectives.
- Leverage global data products and insights to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
- Ensure improvements are incorporated into operating routines and sustained over time.
- Provide feedback through Super Users on process improvement opportunities.
- Coach teams on The Maersk Way, problem solving, and Kaizen practices.
- Ensure adherence to global and local SOPs and MOS standards.
Accountable For
- Implementation and adherence to the Maersk Operating System (MOS).
- Deployment and sustainment of Visual Management Systems (VMS).
- Facilitation of Kaizen events.
- Execution and follow-through of Action Planning.
- Visibility and governance of continuous improvement initiatives across the region.
