About us:

RevenueCat makes building, analyzing, and growing mobile subscriptions easy. We launched as part of Y Combinator's summer 2018 batch and today are handling more than $4B of in-app purchases annually across thousands of apps.

We are a mission driven, remote-first company that is building the standard for mobile subscription infrastructure. Top apps like ChatGPT, VSCO, Notion, and ClassDojo count on RevenueCat to power their subscriptions at scale.

Our 90 team members (and growing!) are located all over the world, from New York City to Madrid to Cape Town. We're a close-knit, product-driven team, and we strive to live our core values: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.

The role:

RevenueCat helps apps of all shapes and sizes make more money across mobile, the web, and a growing list of other platforms. Our success—and the rapid growth we’ve achieved—has been fuelled by amazing word of mouth, supported by high quality content that resonates with our diverse user base: from developers and product managers to marketers and data analysts.

We already have a Senior Content Marketing Manager overseeing our content strategy and data-driven initiatives. Now, we’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help us scale our editorial content output—especially through our App Growth Experts contributor program—and ensure the quality and consistency of everything we publish.

In this role, you’ll be a key player in our content team: editing and publishing contributor posts, helping to bring to life ideas throughout the company, and supporting the rollout of an exciting new initiative: {redacted}.

What You'll Be Responsible For

App Growth Experts contributor program

Edit and publish content from our network of App Growth Experts — industry practitioners who share deep insights into app growth and monetization.

  • Help manage contributor relationships, including onboarding, coordination, and editorial feedback.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Content Marketing Manager to maintain a high editorial bar and keep our publishing cadence on track.

  • Source new contributor opportunities and pitch story ideas to both internal and external collaborators.

{Redacted} support

  • Support editorial execution for this top-secret H2 initiative.

  • Write or edit companion content that connects {redacted} to broader content themes.

  • Ensure all written outputs meet our editorial standards and SEO guidelines.

User-generated and customer content

  • Source, curate, and produce content featuring real-world app success stories—showcasing user insights, collaborating with Product Marketing closely

  • Actively encourage user-generated content within Sub Club (e.g., tips, best practices, Q&A), turning community activity into shareable pieces

Shared responsibilities

  • Write and publish for the RevenueCat blog, especially pieces that stem from {redacted} and Sub Club insights, user stories, or community discussions.

  • Coordinate with the larger Marketing team to amplify new content across social channels, newsletters, and other channels

  • Collaborate with Developer Advocacy, Sales, and Performance Marketing to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all user touchpoints

What Success Looks Like

Within the first month, you’ll:

  • Familiarize yourself with RevenueCat’s platform, our audience, and our existing content and contributor ecosystem

  • Set up regular syncs with the Senior Content Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams (Product, Developer Advocacy, Marketing Ops) to understand current priorities

  • Audit the App Growth Experts program: review past content, evaluate contributor output, and identify opportunities to streamline the publishing process

  • Contribute at least one blog post or newsletter issue, focusing on your unique perspective or community insight

Within the first 3 months, you’ll:

  • Establish an editorial workflow for contributors — ensuring quality, consistency, and predictable publishing cadence

  • Collaborate on planning for {redacted}

  • Identify and pitch content ideas tied to industry trends, app growth strategies, or insights from our contributor network

  • Take over the relationship with at least 3 of our existing contributors

Within the first 6 months, you’ll:

  • Own the end-to-end editing and publishing process for most of our App Growth Experts contributions

  • Maintain and optimize our contributor calendar, ensuring content mix aligns with our goals and campaigns

  • Support the continued rollout of {redacted}, helping ensure content is edited, search-optimized, and on-brand

  • Collaborate with Developer Advocacy or Product Marketing on a cross-functional content initiative (e.g., joint post, spotlight story, guide)

After 12 months, you’ll:

  • Be recognized as the go-to editorial lead for all externally sourced content at RevenueCat

  • Demonstrate measurable success in scaling the contributor program — improved cadence, reach, and quality

  • Play a key role in expanding content for {redacted} and other strategic education initiatives

  • Help evolve our long-term editorial strategy by analyzing performance data, identifying gaps, and championing new ideas

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, journalism, or editorial roles—ideally in a B2B or developer-adjacent SaaS environment

  • Editorial and contributor management experience: You’ve worked with external writers, freelancers, or subject matter experts—and know how to get the best from them

  • Experience working directly with customers to tell their stories: You’ve interviewed users or customers and turned those conversations into clear, compelling narratives

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills: You can take complex, technical topics and turn them into clear, compelling stories for a range of audiences

  • Strong project management: You’re confident managing multiple content streams, coordinating contributors, and keeping things moving from draft to publish

  • Collaborative mindset: You enjoy working cross-functionally and are comfortable juggling priorities from multiple stakeholders

  • Comfort in remote, async environments: Proficiency with Slack, Notion, Zoom, and other tools that keep distributed teams connected

  • Solid SEO and content optimization skills: You understand how to write for search, structure content for discoverability, and apply SEO best practices in a non-spammy way

  • Strategic thinking and editorial judgment: You can spot gaps in a content strategy, connect content to business goals, and confidently make prioritization calls—even with limited inputs

Ideally, you also:

  • Have experience working on or around mobile apps—especially related to subscriptions, monetization, or app store ecosystems

  • Have partnered with designers or illustrators to bring content to life with visuals like diagrams, frameworks, or data-driven charts

  • Are familiar with tools like GA4, Semrush, or Looker to guide content strategy and evaluate performance

What we offer:
  • Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator

  • 10-year window to exercise vested equity options

  • Fully remote and flexible work environment

  • 4-5 weeks of suggested time off annually for mental, physical, and emotional recharge

  • $2,000 USD for workspace setup and $1,000 USD annual stipend for continuous learning
