Role Purpose:
Competency Specialist-Early Career Programs will work with Life Cycle Services Business Unit to support early career programs and deliver technical trainings to internal employees
Lifecycle Services Business Unit focused on developing people by upgrading their technical skills and capabilities through trainings and talent development programs.
Major KPI of this role is to deliver technical training courses on Rockwell Automation technologies and support training manager in managing & delivering early career programs & competency development of employees across Asia Pacific Life Cycle Services Business Unit.

What expected to Do
- Competency Specialist – Early Career Programs is responsible for
- Technical Training Delivery for Early Career Employees at Singapore Training Facility
- Technical Training Delivery for AP LCS Employees in the period when there is no early career training programs
- Coordination with Global RAU team on scheduling, managing training calendar and training programs for AP LCS
- Support Training Manager in Early Career Program execution (EIT, JIT & Intern)
- Coordinate and organize Labor resources to delivery technical / softskill / functional trainings in early career programs as well as in regular training programs in AP LCS organization
- Support training manager in driving Learning Culture in the region, which includes collection of learning plan from sub-regions (ASSES), Plan training courses/programs based on assessment (PLAN), Organize training delivery (TRAIN) and update Power BI report with the learning data (MEASURE)
- Responsible for quarterly communication with AP LCS leaders on learning progress and support training manager to drive Learning Culture in the region
- Administration & Maintenance of Training Facility in Singapore
- Upkeeping Training Workstation during non-training weeks/months, which includes managing assets, inventory evaluation & organize repair/replacement of failed parts in the training workstation.
- Coordination with Logistics team to organize visa/hotel accommodation for the participants who are traveling from other countries to Singapore for training.
- Work with Training Manager to identify productivity improvements and support new projects.
- Understand overall competency framework laid by the organization and support management initiatives.
- Work closely with Global RAU (North America) team and support training manager in implementing global recommended training modules/courses in the region.
- Share necessary inputs and information for updating current material/developing new training curriculum as required, to improve the training delivery / competency programs in AP.
- Support training manager in the tasks related to Training & Competency Development

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education (SKEE) Expectations
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Science with minimum of 7+ years of work experience in Industrial Automation either in Projects, Services and/or Training Delivery
- Very good written and verbal communications in English
- Demonstrate accountability & able to act quickly.
- Collaborate with teams, colleagues across Asia Pacific & adaptive to changes.
- Continuous Learning attitude – ability to learn new technologies and update skills and knowledge.

Technical Knowledge Expectations
- Very good knowledge on Rockwell Automation Products & Technology (Automation & Software)
- Training instructor should have very good understanding on Industrial environment, understanding Automation Products and its applications
- Training instructor to have very good technical knowledge & knowledge sharing skills on Automation, Drives and Software products. Candidate with relevant experience with the below mentioned products will be an added advantage.
