We’re seeking someone to join our Singapore Commodities Trade Support (TSG) team and will be responsible for the trade capturing, processing of trade lifecycle events, reconciling, monitoring and resolving of trade exceptions for Commodities business. The role will also involve resolving / escalating trade related queries and issues, in conjunction with the regional trade support team. The individual will engage directly with the sales and trading desks based in Singapore.

The individual will report to the team manager based in Singapore and will work very closely with the TSG teams in the region.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Director level within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes

What you'll do in the role:

  • Timely and accurate trade capture and checkout

  • Resolve trade discrepancies with counterparties by liaising with trading, sales and relevant teams

  • Monitor and process trade lifecycle events

  • Control, reconcile, and resolve the trade processing exceptions

  • Work with technology for implementation of new processing platforms and system enhancements

  • Work with Legal/Compliance, IT and project teams to analyze new regulatory reform requirements and deploy new processes

  • Drive operational readiness for new business initiatives

  • Review desk processes and participate in operational projects to drive efficiency and risk mitigation

  • Providing back up support and coverage for other functional teams in Singapore Asia Branch Operations

What you'll bring to the role:

  • At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

  • Experience with global investment bank or Commodities trading house, with Commodities trade support experience

  • Good Strong understanding of Commodities products, business and operational knowledge

  • Strong record of dealing with sales / traders and clients

  • Ability to perform in the fast paced environment on trading floor

  • Effective problem solving skills

  • Good communication and organizational skills, able to interact and work effectively with counterparts across functions and geographical locations

  • High personal commitment and integrity

  • Detail oriented with strong risk awareness and able to perform operational responsibilities to a consistently high standard
