Commodities IT Pre-Trade Application Development Manager (Senior Vice President)
Commodities Pricing & Pre Trade Delivery Lead position is responsible for managing the business and technology deliveries across the pricing and market data management platforms within Commodities for:
RFQ (Request for Quote) client or sales to trader workflow
Trade Booking and management
XVA (X-Value Adjustment) for pricing
Streaming prices
Structured Product Pricing workbench
OMS (Order Management System)
Volatility surface and market data management
Responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership and Excellence: Drive delivery strategy across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with sales, trading, quant and technology roadmaps. Establish and maintain high-quality delivery metrics, reporting frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives. Adopt a data driven approach to decision-making, prioritisation, evaluation of new features to ensure alignment with business goals & stakeholder needs.
Cross-Team Coordination: Manage inter-team dependencies, risks, and resource planning across multiple workstreams. Track and analyse the usage and performance of features post-implementation, optimizing for user experience and business impact.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders providing clear, concise updates on delivery status, risks, and mitigation plans. Liaise with stakeholders on an ongoing basis to understand their needs and priorities as well as proactively manage expectations, obtain buy-in, gather feedback, and resolve issues. Manage multiple global concurrent initiatives and projects of varying sizes and complexity, providing leadership and direction to the team
Application Risk & Controls Management: be involved with the implementation of standards and procedures that conform to enterprise requirements and support sound operational and compliance risk management. Be involved to implementation, testing, documentation and release process as per business requirements and firm standards
Required Skills:
Experience in managing a global team of front end and server side engineers
Strong understanding of commodities Markets across Metals, Energy and Agriculture products
Detailed understanding of end to end process flow from price discovery to trade execution and post trade for commodities derivatives
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders
Extensive experience in collaboration and delivery of technology solutions to Sales and Trading
