Dow Jones Energy is seeking a high-energy, senior-level Commercial Manager for New Business Development to drive revenue growth by acquiring new corporate accounts.

About the Team:

Dow Jones Energy delivers trusted price transparency, benchmarks, analytics, news, and insights across the global energy, chemicals, metals, and fuel supply value chains. Our offerings support commercial trading desks, optimization analysts, and supply chain executives navigating spot, wholesale, and retail markets, as well as emerging segments tied to the global energy transition.

Through authoritative data, real-time intelligence, and deep market expertise, we enable energy professionals to mitigate risk and make high-stakes commercial decisions in volatile, fast-evolving global markets.

You Will:

  • High-Velocity Outbound Engagement: Execute high-volume, high-quality cold outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking events to build demand and generate a robust pipeline from scratch.

  • Workflow Integration & Relationship Building: Establish and monetize deep strategic relationships with specialized roles—including Head Traders, Risk Directors, and Procurement leads—to embed solutions directly into corporate workflows.

  • Full Sales Lifecycle Execution: Lead complex enterprise deals from initial qualification through custom proposals, cross-functional orchestration with internal technical experts, commercial negotiation, and final legal/MSA execution.

You Have:
  • Enterprise Sales Proven Track Record: 5-7 years of strategic business development experience with a documented history of meeting and exceeding multimillion-dollar quotas and revenue targets.

  • Commodity & Energy Market Expertise: Demonstrate deep experience working with energy market data vendors, price reporting agencies, commodity software providers, or the commercial divisions of major energy firms.

  • Technical Workflow Fluency: Understand how market benchmarks, data sets, APIs, and analytic solutions integrate seamlessly into active trading, optimization, and risk management workflows.

  • Consultative Discovery & Resilient Mindset: Exhibit advanced value-based selling skills, excellent presentation abilities, and the resilience needed to confidently navigate cold outreach, overcome rejection, and engage C-suite decision-makers.

  • Advanced Sales Tool Proficiency: Maintain disciplined pipeline reporting, forecasting, and account prioritization utilizing Salesforce alongside modern sales engagement and analytics platforms.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
