Traineeship Project Description:

This project focuses on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) techniques to accelerate chemical design and predict key physicochemical properties of interest.

The intern will:

  • Build and curate chemical datasets for modeling.
  • Develop ML models (e.g., regression, classification, neural networks) for predicting chemical properties.
  • Perform Python‑based data cleaning, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Work closely with chemists to translate modeling results into practical chemical design insights.
  • Contribute to ML models for property prediction and materials screening.

Desired Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit‑learn, RDKit preferred).
  • Basic understanding of chemistry or chemical properties.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and machine learning workflows.
  • Ability to analyse datasets and interpret model outputs.
  • Independent, curious, and strong problem‑solving mindset.
