Chinese (Mandarin) AI Content Annotator — Singapore (C1 English Required)

As an AI Content Annotator, you will evaluate AI outputs, assess their quality, and classify content while maintaining accuracy. Tasks include writing prompts and reviewing sensitive content.
OpenTrain is hiring contract AI Content Annotators to help evaluate and improve next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will review AI-generated outputs (primarily text; occasionally with image/video context), assess quality and factual accuracy, compare multiple responses, classify content, and flag safety/policy issues using detailed guidelines and rubrics. Tasks may also include writing and refining prompts and gold-standard responses for supervised fine-tuning and RLHF evaluation.
We’re hiring multiple contractors for this engagement. Work is asynchronous with a flexible schedule, but you must be based in Singapore and able to meet accuracy and throughput targets consistently.
Requirements
- Current residence in Singapore (required).
- Native-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (reading, writing, comprehension).
- English proficiency C1 or higher.
- Bachelor’s degree (any field).
- 1+ year of professional work experience.
- Strong critical thinking, fact-checking, and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow complex written guidelines and maintain high labeling accuracy.
- Comfortable reviewing sensitive or potentially disturbing content when required.
- Reliable computer and stable high-speed internet for remote work.
- Able to pass language/skills screening, calibration, and ongoing quality checks.
- Legally able to work as an independent contractor/freelancer in Singapore.
Benefits
- Rate: USD $12/hour.
- Schedule: Flexible; minimum 15 hours/week (target 20+ hours/week based on task availability).
- Duration: 3–6 months with potential extension based on performance and project needs.
- Scope: Initial allocation ~120 hours; additional hours may be offered as work is available.
