REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree in Accountancy / Finance; CA (Singapore) or equivalent professional qualification (CPA, ACCA) required.
  2. 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 audit training followed by group finance / consolidation roles in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
  3. Proven hands-on experience closing and consolidating 10+ legal entities, ideally across APAC and at least one Western jurisdiction (Europe or US).
  4. Strong working knowledge of SFRS(I)/IFRS, including revenue recognition, intercompany eliminations, and FX translation.
  5. NetSuite (or comparable ERP) experience strongly preferred; advanced Excel skills essential.
  6. Experience operating in or transitioning processes to a shared services / SSC model is an advantage.
  7. Prior exposure to consumer electronics, hardware-plus-subscription business models, or transfer pricing matters is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Group Closing

  • Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and year-end close calendar across all 16 entities, driving adherence to close deadlines and escalating slippage.
  • Prepare and review group consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, including intercompany eliminations, FX translation, and minority interest adjustments.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the NetSuite consolidation module and chart of accounts mapping across entities and currencies.
  • Review statutory-to-management reporting reconciliations and ensure consistent group accounting policies across all jurisdictions.

Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

  • Prepare group management accounts, board reporting packs, and variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Research and apply technical accounting positions (revenue recognition for hardware + cloud subscription bundles, intercompany royalty/TP entries, lease accounting, impairment) under SFRS(I) / IFRS.
  • Partner with external auditors (statutory audits across multiple jurisdictions) and support transfer pricing and tax advisors on intercompany matters.

Controls, Systems & Process

  • Design and enforce month-end close checklists, balance sheet reconciliation standards, and journal approval controls across the group.
  • Drive standardization of accounting processes ahead of transitioning transactional accounting activities to the SSC.
  • Identify and implement NetSuite automation opportunities to shorten the close cycle and reduce manual reconciliation effort.

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and develop the Singapore consolidation / GL team; provide technical guidance to entity-level finance staff and the emerging SSC RTR function.
  • Act as the key liaison between HQ finance, regional entity controllers, and external auditors on all closing and consolidation matters.
  • Support the Group Finance on ad hoc projects, including new entity onboarding, M&A integration accounting, and system implementations.
