Why Join
Group Operational Excellence (GOE)
Our mission is to be the trusted advisor and partner to senior management and their teams in teams in shaping and accelerating future‑ready transformation across the organisation. We help senior stakeholders shape their strategic agenda and work closely with their leadership teams to define their strategic priorities and transformation roadmap. We also partner these leadership teams in driving their most complex cross-functional initiatives. We measure our success by the lasting value that we create for OCBC.
How you succeed:
As VP/AVP, Regional and Synergy Initiatives, you will contribute to the design and delivery of transformation initiatives across OCBC’s regional markets. You will support the development of frameworks, operating model components, and structured approaches that guide how transformation is executed across the Group.
This role requires strong analytical ability, structured problem‑solving, and the ability to translate data and insights into clear narratives, decisions, and executive‑ready materials. You will work closely with project leads and senior stakeholders to drive cross‑functional execution, ensure progress against key milestones, and adapt approaches to local business needs.
The role is highly hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and suited for individuals who are strong in AI/Digital/Data thinking, can synthesise complexity into clarity, and are effective at turning analysis into action.
What you do:
Support the design and refinement of transformation frameworks, operating model components, and structured approaches to guide project delivery across the Group.
Drive hands‑on problem‑solving using data, analytics, and digital/AI insights to shape recommendations and inform decision‑making.
Work with project leads and stakeholders across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Greater China to support initiative planning, issue resolution, and adaptation to local contexts.
Develop clear, compelling executive materials — including strategic narratives, analyses, and sharp slide decks — to communicate progress, risks, and recommendations.
Manage workstreams or project modules within large cross‑functional programmes, ensuring timely execution, risk management, and coordination across teams.
Translate data and market insights into actionable findings and structured plans that support initiative outcomes.
Coordinate and facilitate working sessions, problem‑solving discussions, and structured updates across functions and entities.

In an ideal candidate, we look for:

High proficiency in data analysis, digital/AI concepts, and translating insights into recommendations.
Excellent executive storytelling skills — clear logic flow, compelling narratives, and high‑quality slide development.
Strong attention to detail, hands‑on working style, and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
Effective collaboration skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and adapting approaches as needed.
