The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an experienced CCD Survivability Engineer, Senior to support Contested, Congested, and Degraded (CCD) operational environments across the Indo-Pacific. The CCD Survivability Engineer, Senior serves as CACI's senior systems engineering professional responsible for designing, integrating, and sustaining resilient mission systems, communications architectures, and digital capabilities that enable mission continuity during contested, congested, and degraded operational conditions. Reporting directly to the Platform Integration Lead, this position ensures critical mission systems maintain operational effectiveness despite disruptions to communications, positioning, infrastructure, cyber threats, and adversary actions.

The CCD Survivability Engineer works closely with Government stakeholders, systems engineers, communications engineers, cybersecurity specialists, software developers, operational planners, logistics planners, mission partners, and coalition organizations to develop survivable system architectures, evaluate operational vulnerabilities, and implement resilient engineering solutions. This position contributes to successful program execution by improving system availability, operational resilience, and mission assurance throughout the Indo-Pacific theater.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement resilient systems architectures capable of operating in contested, congested, and degraded (CCD) environments.

  • Analyze mission systems to identify vulnerabilities affecting communications, data availability, navigation, and operational continuity.

  • Develop survivability strategies supporting logistics, mission support, command and control, training, and operational systems.

  • Integrate redundancy, resiliency, fault tolerance, and alternate communications pathways into enterprise and tactical systems.

  • Support engineering analyses for degraded GPS/GNSS, denied communications, cyber disruption, electromagnetic interference, and infrastructure degradation scenarios.

  • Conduct survivability assessments, systems engineering analyses, technical risk assessments, and architecture evaluations.

  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, communications, software development, and platform integration teams to implement resilient engineering solutions.

  • Support technology demonstrations, operational experimentation, mission rehearsals, and contingency exercises validating survivability capabilities.

  • Develop technical documentation, engineering assessments, executive-level reports, and systems architecture recommendations for Government leadership.

  • Support lifecycle engineering, modernization initiatives, technology refresh planning, and system integration efforts.

  • Troubleshoot complex systems integration and operational performance issues occurring in degraded operational environments.

  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, interoperability guidance, and contractual requirements.

  • Mentor engineering personnel while promoting systems engineering best practices and continuous process improvement.

  • Support contingency operations requiring rapid engineering assessments and deployment of resilient technical solutions.

  • Promote innovation supporting contested logistics, multidomain operations, distributed mission execution, and digital resilience.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active TS with SCI eligibility

  • Minimum 8 years of experience supporting systems engineering, software engineering, communications engineering, systems integration, or resilient information technology solutions for Government or Department of Defense programs.

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, Special Operations organizations, or Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) programs.

  • Experience designing or integrating resilient information systems supporting mission-critical operational environments.

  • Experience conducting systems engineering analyses, architecture assessments, technical risk analyses, or systems integration activities.

  • Experience supporting tactical communications, enterprise IT infrastructure, or mission systems operating in contested or degraded environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare executive-level engineering reports and brief senior Government leadership on technical risks, survivability strategies, and engineering recommendations.

Desired

  • Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

  • Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering Management, or a related field is highly desirable.

  • Experience supporting USSOCOM, SOCPAC, Geographic Combatant Commands, Joint Task Forces, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), or Special Operations organizations.

  • Experience supporting Indo-Pacific operations, contested logistics, multidomain operations, resilient communications, mission command systems, or expeditionary information technology environments.

  • Experience utilizing Cameo Systems Modeler, DOORS, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, VMware, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, tactical communications systems, and enterprise systems management platforms.

  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Risk Management Framework (RMF), resilient communications architectures, zero trust principles, and distributed systems engineering methodologies. Professional certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent systems engineering and cybersecurity certifications are preferred.

  • Experience supporting Special Operations Forces, contested logistics, resilient mission systems, communications denied environments, and distributed operations throughout the Indo-Pacific is highly desirable.
