Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and based out of Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group.  We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units and beyond, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. Functioning as one Global Procurement team across all Telenor markets, we enable Telenor’s strategic ambitions by becoming a centre of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. TPC seeks qualified procurement professionals that are comfortable working in a global setup in the fast-paced Telecom field.

About the role

Enterprise Software is an important domain for Telenor as we continue our transformation into a leading digital services provider. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping future operating models, driving innovation, and enabling agility and efficiency across the organization.

Procurement and Sourcing play a pivotal role in achieving these ambitions by leading category strategies, leveraging supply market strengths, and executing sourcing initiatives that deliver tangible value. We are looking for a motivated Category Specialist to join our Enterprise Software team and support this strategic journey.

Main tasks

  • Contribute to the development and execution of end-to-end category strategies for enterprise software.
  • Perform data-driven analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and deliver innovative, value-driven solutions.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Support the preparation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses and participate in vendor negotiations.
  • Assist in the implementation of sourcing strategies and vendor management practices.
  • Conduct supplier market research and prequalification assessments.

 

Profile

  • Solid understanding of the software vendor landscape and procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data tools such as Excel; experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Results-oriented with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • High integrity and alignment with the Telenor Way of working.
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational and cultural boundaries.
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Telco is a plus

 

Qualification

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, vendor relations, or a related function.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience in enterprise software sourcing is highly desirable
