Role/Department Description:

The APAC Instituional Buyside Middle Office team is looking for a Middle Office Solutions Sales Specialist to cover South East Asia region.  Ideal candidates should be enthusiastic, proactive, intellectually curious, take pride in the work they do, and have experience with some of FactSet’s Analytics products and solutions.  This is an exciting opportunity to join the best team in FactSet in a region with strong, sophisticated client base and plenty of opportunity for growth.

The Buyside Middle Office Solutions Sales Specialist is responsible for the company’s on-platform middle office portfolio solutions including Portfolio Analytics, Fixed Income, Risk, Performance Attribution, and Reporting. As a specialised group, we must strive to be SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) in our own Analytics and Risk Solutions as well as many advanced Investment Management topics and workflows to help support the sales process, whether at existing clients or new prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Help drive new business and achieve sales targets for the year.

  • Become an expert in middle office solutions and workflows, including Portfolio Analysis, Performance, Reporting, Risk Models and Analytics Production solutions. 

  • Collaborate with generalist sales and other specialists to generate sales leads for middle office products.

  • Qualify leads and discover client needs via effective questioning – requires deep product knowledge and understanding of investment workflows.

  • Defend and drive revenue across user base.

  • Develop tailored product demonstrations to highlight value add of analytics products to meet specific investment management needs.

  • Organize and prioritize feedback for enhancements to Product Development that will help FactSet to maintain its competitive advantage.

  • Manage client engagement and relationships.

  • Travel to meet with clients and prospects.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in or selling to the buy-side.

  • Demonstrable ability to identify new prospects, and build and maintain solid client relationships.

  • Good knowledge of investment management workflows, applications and challenges.

  • Knowledge on portfolio applications, the underlying calculations and related theories.

  • Independent worker who will take initiative in all aspects of the role.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with shifting responsibilities.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in FactSet’s competitor landscape (BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, MSCI, Morningstar, etc).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel.

Highly Desired:

  • Background in finance, mathematics, or statistics.

  • Progress towards CFA designation or other professional accreditation (e.g CIPM, FRM, CAIA, etc).

  • Strong Coding skills (Python) is a plus.
