Buy-side Middle Office Solutions Specialist – Singapore and Southeast Asia
The Principal Product Specialist will drive sales by building strong relationships, providing the highest level of service in specific subject matters and workflows to maximize client satisfaction and grow product deployment. As the primary focus is deployment of products and services, which inherently will drive ASV, it also means echoing a consistent message of partnering across FactSet teams to explore new and creative ways we can service our clients. The ideal candidate will be able to drive deployment where growth exists, and at the same time solidify our existing user base by partnering with sales and client solution generalists.
This role reflects FactSet’s conviction in approaching our clients with a good understanding of their business models and workflows to accelerate our own growth with those in the middle office making and supporting investment decisions.
The Product Specialist will work closely with RCS team to establish plans and strategies to maximize Annual Subscription Value (ASV) growth in assigned accounts with a specific emphasis on middle office workflows for different types of firms. The role will execute a client-centric approach and exhibit enterprise solution selling techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with generalist sales and other specialists to generate sales leads for middle office products.
- Product Specialists will be expected to facilitate both retention and expansion within their assigned clients.
- Maintain a high level of sales activities, tracking sales efforts and client intelligence in Salesforce.
- Develop subject matter expertise in middle office solutions and workflows, including Portfolio Analysis, Performance, Reporting, Risk Models and Analytics Production solutions. Become an internal resource as a subject-matter expert.
- Increase client awareness about FactSet’s middle office solutions.
- Create tailored product demonstrations to highlight value add of analytics products to meet specific investment management needs.
- Manage and run effective trials to ensure our best chance at a successful opportunity win.
- Organize and prioritize feedback for enhancements to Product Management that will help FactSet to maintain its competitive advantage.
- Build expertise in FactSet’s competitor landscape (BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, MSCI, Morningstar, etc).
- Organize and prioritize feedback for Product Development, suggesting enhancements that will maintain FactSet's competitive advantage.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical skills & deep Middle Office product knowledge, workflows and challenges.
- 10+ years in client facing role, preferably 6+ years in a pre-sales role or comparable role
- Ability to interact effectively with senior level in both the sales and SBU teams
- Enthusiasm, desire and a strong sense of initiative
- Desire to set the benchmark high for what is expected from an individual contributor on the pre sales team
- Demonstrate knowledg around portfolio applications, the underlying calculations and related theories.
- Independent worker who will take initiative in all aspects of the role.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills; confidence in presenting to groups and to senior client stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills.
- Excellent Finance knowledge is necessary. Candidates working towards or open to the CFA designation or other professional accreditation (e.g. CIPM, FRM, CAIA, etc.) is a plus.
- Bachelor Degree holder.
