As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Nium, you will help drive Nium’s future growth engine by working closely with the Account Executive (AE) team to qualify leads and collaboratively build a strong sales pipeline. You enjoy engaging with prospects to understand their needs, identifying high-value opportunities, and managing early-stage sales funnel activities.

You are curious and eager to learn about new and existing products, and you take pride in being a builder—actively contributing to the development of demand generation and sales processes, articulating Nium’s value proposition, and creating key sales tools and assets.

We are building a data-driven, analytical approach to sales development and are looking for someone confident in both prospecting and helping design scalable sales strategies. If you are hungry, smart, tenacious, and a great team player, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will spend significant time understanding new clients, acquiring and qualifying new leads, analyzing key clients’ businesses and performance, and collaborating with management and cross-functional teams to apply best practices and deliver consistently high-quality sales execution.

Responsibilities

  • Research and create personalized outreach materials for high-value prospects in partnership with BDRs and Account Executives
  • Follow up on marketing-generated leads to qualify them as sales opportunities and move strong leads through the funnel
  • Connect qualified prospects with Account Executives and arrange introductory meetings
  • Execute outbound sales plays created by Marketing
  • Initiate contact with potential customers through cold calling and responses to inbound inquiries
  • Develop relationships with prospects to uncover needs through effective questioning and qualification
  • Prepare high-quality handoffs to the sales team
  • Follow up with prospects who expressed interest but did not initially convert into sales opportunities
  • Work through lead lists efficiently while meeting or exceeding SLAs
  • Consistently update activity, notes, and contact information within the CRM system
  • Support weekly reporting and pipeline review efforts
  • Collaborate with Marketing by providing feedback and insights to improve targeting, messaging, and campaigns
  • Demonstrate a strong drive to exceed past performance, consistently beating targets for lead generation and meeting setup
  • Apply consultative selling and business development skills to meet or exceed assigned financial and customer satisfaction goals

Requirements

  • Proven track record of top performance or prior success in sales, business development, or a related role
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Commercially focused and pragmatic, with the ability to identify opportunities and propose effective solutions
  • Results-oriented and client-focused, with a strong obsession for delivering value
