THE POSITION: Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our merchant network. You will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new restaurant partners who can benefit from the yield management services provided through the Eatigo platforms.

Reporting directly to the Country BU Head, you will be a key member of our Sales & Business Development Team. The ideal candidate is a team player and someone who works in a fast-paced environment, under pressure whilst remaining resilient, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Identify potential restaurant partners through market research, industry insights, and networking.
  • Utilize various channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, referrals, and partnerships to generate leads.

Sales and Negotiation:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to approach prospective restaurant partners.
  • Conduct presentations and pitches to present convincing business cases to demonstrate clear value of our services
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of merchant agreements, including pricing, fees, and contractual terms.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective restaurant partners, understanding their needs and providing solutions to meet those needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective restaurant partners, addressing inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales operations to ensure restaurant partners’ satisfaction at the point of onboarding.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the partner acquisition process.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and efficiently, adhering to internal procedures and guidelines.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Diploma in any field
  • At least 2 years experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use data and analytics while building on client conversations
  • Self-motivated with a strong affinity for problem solving.
  • Resourceful and capable of learning fast and independently
