Position Purpose

A Business Development Team Lead (West) is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, expanding client relationships, and leading a high-performing business development team across the West Coast region. This role combines market expertise, leadership, and execution to accelerate revenue growth and strengthen the company’s presence in key industries.

Essential Job Functions

  • Directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans and processes to drive retrofit sales, increase revenue, expand markets and accomplish financial objectives.
  • Own the funnel growth and retrofit sales performance for territory consisting of multiple regions. Works directly with the Director of Retrofit & MRO to align the sales and profitability strategies with the business unit goals.
  • Deploy strategic sales plan and funnel strategy/escalations.
  • Accountable for robust CRM adoption to manage team's sales pipeline, account management, and opportunity management. Identify risks/shortfalls and develop countermeasures for meeting KPIs.
  • Hire, develop and retain team members holding them accountable on execution.
  • Align BDM team with strategic partnerships and collaborations with Reps, channel partners, distribution partners, contractors, etc.
  • Aligns with internal Regional, Omni, FEI leaders to ensure funnels are aligned and deals are effectively and timely quoted and closed.
  • Provides strategic direction to team on how to continue to nurture opportunities and pull them through the sales funnel; owns/manages whale opportunity strategies for spec conversions

Education and Expereince

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field; commercial construction materials industry preferred
  • CRM systems management
  • Ability to travel 40%
  • Candidates must be located on the west coat, preferably in California, Phoenix, AZ, or Las Vegas, NV.
