Axis Communications’ Business Development team is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM), Platform Technologies, to join our growing team in APAC. The team serves as an incubation hub, driving the development and growth of innovative technologies in APAC. We identify, nurture, and launch transformative business initiatives in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, ecosystem partners, and end customers.
As the BDM, Platform Technologies, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of system architectures for cutting-edge technologies, including Cloud Solutions, IoT/AI Platforms, and Licensing Models. You will also play a critical role in planning, executing, and scaling solutions from inception to successful market adoption in APAC.

This position will be based in Singapore.
Travelling internationally is required for this position up to 30% of the time.
What You’ll Do Here…
Technology Development
- Act as a technology expert for assigned platforms, showcasing their technical features and capabilities.
- Design, build and oversee Proof of Concepts (POC) and pilot projects to validate feasibility and commercial success.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define technical requirements, optimize architectures, and drive technology adoption.
- Develop secure, scalable and high-performing solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Collaboration and Influence
- Work closely with Business Development Managers, R&D, Product Management, and Alliances to align strategies and execution.
- Operate as an extension of internal teams and influence stakeholders to drive initiatives forward.
- Build strong technical relationships with alliances, partners, and end-customers, acting as a trusted advisor.
Market Readiness and Launch
- Facilitate the launch, handover, and integration of proven technologies into Axis’s core business.
- Monitor emerging trends, competitive landscapes and market dynamics to refine architectural strategies and positioning.
What We Are Looking For…
- Over 5 years of experience in testing, implementing, and scaling Cloud Solutions, IoT/AI Platforms, and Licensing Models.
- Proven track record in leading end-to-end solution design for enterprises
- Practical experience collaborating with R&D, Product Management, and cross-functional teams. Understanding of software development (ie. Python, C++, JavaScript, R…) and of using generative AI for coding.
- Hands-on experience in driving software-based and licensed-based solutions for connectivity and data management
- Extensive industry knowledge of 3rd party hardware and software technology platforms (Azure, AWS, ServiceNow, Wasabi…)
- Expert at creating documentation, collateral and process flow as it relates to deliverables
- Strong expertise in Proof-of-Concept execution, project management, and proposal development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts

- Proficient in designing secure, scalable solution architectures.
- Broad technical proficiency and deep understanding of competitive landscapes, market trends, and industry trajectories.

- Excellent communication and consultative skills; able to engage stakeholders and build consensus.
