SUMMARY OF DEPARTMENT:

The department of Business Excellence comprises a team of Business Analysts that bridges business, operations, and technology teams to drive value-driven solutions. The team is responsible for end-to-end business analysis, including requirements elicitation, process optimisation, solution validation through testing, and training of operational users on new implementation. By combining strong domain expertise with structured methodologies, the team ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, adopted effectively and embedded into day-to-day operations. 


ABOUT THE ROLE:

As part of the Business Excellence’s Centre of Excellence in Business Analysts, the candidate is responsible for executing projects with new capabilities and creating a differentiated customer experience. He/she is established to create Business Analyst services to support cross-functional initiative such as cost optimisation, focusing on the analysis and design of automated workflow, business processes re-engineering within Operational division. 

This position supports business users in Product Launches, Operations Division Initiatives, Core Functions Improvements, Regulatory Business & IT initiatives that are aligned to the company’s objectives. It also entails providing business support on system-related work activities to all stakeholders.

The person plays a role in the end-to-end process of user requirements solicitation & documentation, writing test plan & conduct user acceptance testing, creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for a business. He/she acts as a liaison and link between stakeholders and information technology system to ensure business requirements are translated and transformed to meet and satisfy customers’ needs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Requirements Elicitation and Analysis
    • Elicit Product Specification, Business requirements, Functional specifications, User stories and work-related materials, analyse systems gaps and business processes.
    • Access feasibility, benefits, and risks of proposed IT solutions, recommending process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. 
    • Partner with business stakeholders to capture and document detailed requirements, lead walkthroughs, and review sessions, and secure formal sign-off to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives. 
  • Solution Delivery & User Acceptance Testing
    • Support solution design and implementation, ensuring requirements are translated into effective solutions. 
    • Formulate test scenarios, test plan, and test strategies, performing both functional and regression testing.
    • Coordinate and manage user acceptance testing including defect management and change management.
    • Ensure successful solution implementation and obtain formal sign-off.
  • Documentation & Training
    • Prepare user guides and training materials to facilitate adoption of new systems and processes. 
    • Conduct training sessions to Operation team to enable smooth transition and ensure users are equipped to effectively adopt new system and processes. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Function as a liaison between business users and IT teams identifying gaps, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment throughout project delivery.
    • Facilitate meetings, workshop, and decision-making sessions to drive clarity and consensus. 
  • Mentorship & Best Practices
    • Guide junior BAs in documentation, UAT and business analysis activities. 
    • Promote business analysis best practices, standards, and process improvements across projects.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Information Technology or Business Information Systems.
  • Preferably with 2 years of working experience in business analysis and user acceptance testing. 
  • Business Analysis skill in delivery business requirement process.
  • Project management skill in executing and managing user acceptance testing and planning.
  • Savvy in the application of latest technology.
  • Initiative-taking, resourceful, innovative/creative/critical thinkers and able to engage stakeholders from different business domains.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • Good stakeholder management and facilitation. 
  • Self-managing, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, meticulous and capable of delivering a high quality of work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication including listening skill and dispute resolution skills at the assignment level. Have good Interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, meetings, and walkthroughs effectively.
