Overview 
AvePoint is seeking a Business Analyst with enterprise software solutions experience to join us in our Client Services division.

 
What will you be doing? 

The Business Analyst analyzes business processes and applicable automated systems, and develops As-Is and To-Be descriptions. This individual leads requirements gathering and analysis activities, prepares and delivers written and oral communications, participates in testing activities, helps design methods and procedures for internal and external projects. You will play a key role in defining, communicating, and managing business and functional requirements, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Elicit requirements for software development. 
  • Document, analyze and evaluation requirements gathered. Work out deliverables such as Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs. 
  • Translate technical information into business language to ensure understanding of the requirements by both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements. 
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. 
  • Support the project manager and other team members in planning deliverables, scope, schedule, and other aspects of the project

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in analyzing and documenting business processes and software development requirements.
  • Proven experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and producing As-Is and To-Be documentation.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into system and operational requirements.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end billing workflows, including instalments, refunds, and rebill processes.
  • Understanding of accounting entry generation, including revenue recognition, refunds, reconciliation, and write-offs.
  • Experience with SAP Finance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience supervising junior associates will be an advantage.
